The guy was in starting eleven and was dropped this season, but never complained. Followed Mou orders and stepped up when he got a chance.

He understands whats best for Chelsea and respects that. He will do his best and try hard. A player who is such professional shouldnt be allowed to leave.

His devotion to the team is amazing, too bad the club (if they accept money for him) doesnt give this trust back.

I think Luiz (and before Mata) were made for Chelsea as club. Maybe not for Mou, but sure for Chelsea. Those kind of players with great character will bring team together. It would be stupid to sell all players with character. In current team Hazard and Luiz look to be most honest, open minded players and we have to keep them.

We need to sell to buy Vidal or someone? Realy? Why dont we first sell the ones who reals should be sold like Torres, and then we have more than enough money to buy 2/3 top players, given the fact we sold Mata in january, some deadwood will generate 30-40mio (plus less week wages) and surely we have 50mio of clean money to spend every year. Thats more than enough to buy 2/3 top players without the 'need' to sell Luiz.

If we however do sell Luiz (and probably Mikel too), we will need to buy a backup DM and CB, selling Luiz makes no sense.

What a load of horse manure. This club has kept it's end of the bargain and treated him in a professional manner. We don't need him anymore so we're selling him. In what universe does the club deserve even the slightest bit of criticism in this matter?

Thats more than enough to buy 2/3 top players without the 'need' to sell Luiz.

Luiz is dead wood.

He's a defender who Jose doesn't trust to defend.

Will be immense for Barcelona. He didn't get a chance when we changed to a more defensive minded approach this season but anyway 30m for a makeshift midfielder (for our squad) is great. People who shit on Luiz as a player should just look at who's starting at CB this summer in Brazil.

people are actually complaining about us selling our 3rd/4th choice CB and our 3rd/4th choice CM for 32mil?

we dont need to buy defenders, we have kalas and zouma as his replacements (remember they will simply be 3rd choice CBs and we have IVA to cover for it too). as for CM, we needed to buy a new CM. DL would have been redundant after that purchase. jose does not like tinkering with his backline plus after a new CM, DL would have been 4th choice (behind matic, rambo, new CM).

we are selling a potential bench warmer for the next season for a mighty 32mil. how is that not a good deal.

actually he did get a chance. against wba and he was at fault for anichiebe's goal.

He is a very good player, and I think he is maybe the best option for Barcelona or Bayern.

They need a fast player, good defender and that can pass the ball with quality because they play with the defensive line in the half-way line.

We don't need that.

And I think we don't need a CB that costs 30M in the bench when we don't have a proper striker.

I don't like also his attitude, I know that many in here think that this is normal, and really good... I think its not.

Luiz is a terrific player, there should be no debate about that. But 30m from Barca for him is the kind of deal that makes sense for everyone: him, Chelsea, and Barca. Kinda like the Mata transfer to utd who is also undoubtedly a terrific player but the move made sense for everyone.

If Luiz is deadwood.....then I wonder what Mikel and Torres would be considered to be?

He's a defender that doesn't suit Jose's tactical system...you put him on a team with freedom (e.g. Barca) and he will thrive.

KDB was one of our best players? :lol:

Luiz is a good player but definitely not our best, not by a long shot. He's a makeshift midfielder right now and it's more than a good deal.
