robsblubot 3,595
Always funny to see how much people suddenly tend to miss players who leave the club and weren't even part of the starting XI.If we sell Cech in Jan, we'd also be selling a player who is not part of the starting XI. Same happened with Mata, and Lampard. The fact that this or that coach prefer a player with this or that style can't really take anything away from what the players did before.Especially a player who started every match (whenever fit) in our CL win. Fans remember the winners, and reckon rightfully so. Dion and robdog

Term-X 7,891
^ If true, you can bet that new contract wasn't much of an improvement, the board are not idiots.. they know who's in the managers favour and who isn't. Viper22
bababoom 4,478
lol no way in hell was our board going to refuse that £40/50 million offer, still cant believe we sold him for that much.
RoyalBlues 4,050
If he wanted the move, how could the price go up to 50 millions? Are PSG that stupid, or we're so clever?
TheChelseaDane 48
Just read this article in a Danish newspaper. Chelsea wanted me to stay, but I turned down a contract offer. Come on David, lying is not appreciated. I can't IMAGINE Chelsea turning down 50 million pounds for you, even though how good you may think you are.Still over the top about this sale. Amazing, truly amazing.

petre.ispirescu 4,928
Sideshow Bob better step up his game and pray for Thiago Silva to be fit as soon as possible otherwise Paris will set a record that no one will ever beat I'm afraid - to be the only horse at the start of the race and still finish 2nd. In a Mickey Mouse league also, full of bang average teams. He has Marseille 7 points ahead and gifts Monaco the equalizer in the dying minutes and he still talks about Chelsea. Pathetic. BlueLion. 21,491
So he's still capable of gargantuan brainfarts and haphazard "defending" at even the best of times. I hope we tore up the receipt a long time ago.I said this many times when he was here, but I still can't believe PSG offered that amount. Probably £20m would have tempted José to sell. He had some good games for us and in general wasn't as bad as the media made out he was, but imagine how open we'd be defensively this season if he was playing in this new system of ours
DH1988 1,348
He's so rash and so keen to get in front of the striker or midfielder that we'd have a field day getting free kicks around the box. No bones though he is a brilliant player just lacks concentration. Jamie carragher said it brilliantly along with neville that he just sometimes looks bored out there
Jase 43,479
Did anyone watch the game at the weekend? Typical Luiz, brilliant against Barca then comical defendingGenerally, think he's one player you would want in the big games because that's where he tends to come alive. But when it comes to playing against the lesser sides, that's where you'll see the worst of Luiz. He played well against Barcelona but in the league game before that versus Toulouse, I read that he was poor and completely all over the place defensively. robsblubot 3,595
Watched a bit of the game against Monaco - not only Luiz, but the entire PSG team wasn't as sharp. These tough CL matches do take a toll. It's just incredible people will put a blame on him when the football (awkwardly) bounced off his teammate, which then put the opponent attacker behind the defense line. Now, could he have done better by following the attacker and not assuming anything? Sure! Marquinhos could've done the same and he also didn't. Luiz lacks concentration, which is pretty well known, but people do go overboard in the blame game. PSG have had many clean sheets in the league - haven't lost a match. Conceded less than the others 6/9 (GA/MP). Once again, they've been struggling in the attacking department especially without Ibra, not in defense (even though Silva has yet to play this season). Cavani has been incredibly poor actually.Rnk Team MP W D L GF GA +/- Pts 1 Marseille 9 7 1 1 23 8 15 22 2 Bordeaux 9 5 2 2 15 9 6 17 3 PSG 9 3 6 0 15 6 9 15 The Skipper and zolayes
