I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of JT, and never was.

But I also have to admit that before the match against Bayern I was really concerned about the fact he would not be there. I agree that he is not the kind of character the club needs to be its face, but he still has some years of good football and he still is important for the group.

I have no doubt JT is an axxhole in real life but many famous people are like that. What's important is that as a footballer he has made many contributions to our success over the last 10 years. Moreover, 31 is not the end for a defender. Don't forget that even in their 30s Paolo Maldini and A. Nesta were still rated among of the bests in the world, and JT is on the same level as them, technically. Despite having become a bit slower he is still a rock in Chelsea's defense with a lot of experience to pass on to new players such as Cahill, and a leader on the field and in the locker room. I'm sure if the new manager adopts a proper rotation policy he'll still be very useful for the club for at least 2 or 3 more years.

kylehimself@ summed it up perfectly. The problem here is, everyone wants to see a flawless human nature! that's impossible! show me someone who's without human deficiencies and he is the same and we should respect it. He is the club captain for more than a decade and if we bring him down we are questioning the credibility and validity of our own club.

What I don't like about the Cahill and Luiz pairing is that they seem to be more on the quiet side and don't organise things as well as the loud mouthed captain.

Tend to agree but I can see Cahill becoming that type of 'loud' player with enough time and confidence.

I disagree I think Terry still has it in him he is very young in Defender years and can go for another 3 or more seasons. His form hasnt been the best for the last couple of months but every player has rough patches. Plus neither Luiz nor Cahill are true leaders and with Drogba gone and Lampard having atmost 2 more seasons in him we really nead Terry untill we can find a new leader.

As far as he plays well I don't care even if he bangs the queen. But the time he starts making mistakes and lowers his form, he should sit on the bench. There is something else that should be considered (probably JT's worst nightmare) high line, if we tend to play with it, JT has no place in our starting 11.

IF he is found guilty ,,,then it will be for a few words spoken in anger ,,,a word you have just used ,,,, I will think no differently about him ..

if anything he is the victim of a witch hunt ,,, Now look at yourself and consider what kind of person calls himself Mafia ,,,, A poor misguided child

Certainly not. He has to take the backlash of what he's done, which he has.

Perhaps I feel this way because casual racism is embedded in the Aussie psyche (words like P**i and W*g are very common and aren't considered racist at all) but I don't see anything wrong with "I didn't call you a black cunt" or whatever Terry said.

Let me rephrase that, the standards of what is considered racist differ here from other countries, such as the UK.

i think terry is playing with broken ribs if i am not wrong

He was. Played every 3-4 days in the last few games of the season after Cahill and Luiz both got injured. Completely no rest for him and that was probably a reason why his form dipped in those remaining games.

The whole equality and anti discrimination movements have spawned a career seeking group of opportunists. Look at the token Women ,,Blacks and Asian in National

and Local politics. In JTs case we saw ex footballers fighting to get on the bandwagon.
