He could have been a good player if everything clicked for him at the same time. Too often he was in his best form in one category at the same time that he was at at his worst in another.

Re: the finishing, Torres has consistently worse than that yet many want a new team to be built around him. Enough with the hypocrisy around Torres.

Maybe its because people know what Torres is capable of. And even when he misses he still creates chances for others. Kalou has had so many opportunities to shine at Chelsea. Rare occasions he has look half decent, rest of the time he has been dog shit.

What he's capable of also include open goal misses.

It's the price tag and the reputation of the guy. That's all it is. If we signed Kalou for 50 million from Liverpool we'd probably be getting "oh, he had a good game today, couple of nice touches, good shot, unlucky he didn't score, come on lads lets sign 10 other players to bring the best out fo him".

Well, well, now he shines..

It's funny like that. A lot of players, Kalou, Podolski and Klose, for example, are immensely better for their national teams than they are for their clubs.

Also, I'm still waiting on this from you, Manuf:

If I knew you before, I wouldn't have bashed Kalou.

How can you be so awesome, regardless of being Australian?

With Di Matteo looking likely to stay as manager there's still hope for Kalou yet when RDM clearly likes him and would possibly want to keep him. ^_^

Schalke an option for Kalou as well and their manager Huub Stevens has even confirmed his interest in Salomon. Liverpool also said to be interested. :mouthclosed:

That is because we did not have any other better options! Now we do and do not feed the troll... ;)
