Madmax 9,219
The results today leave us thinking about all those dropped points a couple of months ago. Had we salvaged just a couple of points in those games, we'd sitting pretty.

Had we salvaged just a couple of points in those games, we'd sitting pretty. It highlights our lack of concentration and motivation against lesser teams. Our core players have participated in so many finals and big games already that they subconsciously think of those fixtures as a little sniff. This season and the season before there was evidently lack of concentration in countless games. This makes me believe that our new permanent manager's one of strongest attributes should be motivating, not purely technical (I admit, AVB was more of a technical rather than a mental manager). This team seems to thrive on emotion more than anything.. look at how they've picked themselves up now that the decisive moments of the season have arrived, even though most of them are average footballers and it showed when they played without spirit and tangible pressure. Bosnian Blue 2,471
We should just focus on trying to win at Anfield first and then the Blackburn game. If it does happen for us it would be great.

Tomo 21,751
There is suddenly something riding on this one now, if Newcastle or Spurs won we could have just gone their relaxed and enjoyed ourself.I would point out if we win both games 1-0 and Tottenham draw 0-0 to Fulham we will have the same amount of point, goal difference and goal scored. So assuming Newcastle don't beat Everton would that mean a 4th place play off days before Munich? Kojo 4,676
Should've taken that NewCastle game more seriously. A win would have taken us on the verge of CL qualification. Anyway, We can not make that same mistake now. Should field in the most strong team to beat Liverpool. They are not having a good time at Anfield. It is possible!Yeah we could've done that, but then would we of won the F.A Cup?, if we had started with Mata, Cole and everyone else?.

Mr. Ziggles 110
Pretty much everyone is going for this Lineup. It's a good solid line-up and our UCL players will get a nice rest. We may see Malouda involved instead of one of the Players in that lineup.Yeah, anything similar to that lineup is great. Our best bet is winning the UCL now, 4th place is out of reach. Wavy Crockett 190
listen...we're not going for 4th no more.. let the other teams slip up if they want but it's not up to us anymorethis is about pride.. and humiliating the liverpool team and their scumbag fanstheir out to seek revenge and are talking about "putting are back in our place" and suchwe can't allow them to have any joytherefore we must do our best once more, we can rest more against blackburn if things dont go our way.we must deal with Caroll better than we did and then expose their defence and midfield with our superior players and tacticskillthemoff

didierforever 7,349
all this permutations and combinations go to shit if we dont win this, we had a great chance of finishing 3rd but fucked it up aginst newcastle and totenham(i still believe that the arsenal draw was a good result for us). so firstly we need to play to win and actually win this one evn if we play a weakish team. any1 who cant play in ucl should be involved similarly for people who might not start (and we should rest lamps, by the end of fa cup he really looked fatigued.)cechpf iva jt ryanromeu essienrambo raul maltorres
