Hats off to Ancelotti.. Many people said he was over his time after Chelsea already. 5 years he had spent at Bayern, Napoli and Everton, doing ok but not great, many people would send him to retirement.

Everyone lost their shit when Pep finally won a CL after like 10 years, while Carlo quietly about to pick up his 5th.

Indeed. It is rare for a man to change his ways and career trajectory at that age. I was disappointed when Roman sacked him. Thought we did ok in 2010/11 given the terrible injury crisis.
After Everton & Napoli I really thought it was over for him at the top level. I am not sure he could have turned it around at any club other than Madrid tho.

It was really different times back then. Getting sacked after finishing 2nd in the Premier League and reach CL top 8, seems ridiculous. On the other hand competition in the PL was very different.. Liverpool and Spurs were low, City was just getting started(Agüero joined after that summer), so second place was pretty much the worst we can got. Now it's a dream for us.

To be fair, what was he doing at Everton in the first place?    Even at Napoli, they change managers every 18 months or so.

For Ancelotti, I'll always see him as the AC Milan Don, then he had his vacations in England and Germany and then eventually became the legend at Madrid.

Mbappe and Davies are pretty much done deals. They are heavy linked with Leny Yoro for this summer so they take young French CB like they did with Varane. He's gonna be there with Rudiger, Militao and Alaba. Nothing more needed there. That team with those 3 already have no weak links besides RB. So they should take one of your list. I know you said Mbappe hates playing CF but I'm sure he's gonna interchange with Vini and Rodrygo. Plus Endrick is coming soon so yeah, new domination extremely likely.

yes, he will be forced to play as a CF or false 9 more than likely this next season

I do not see him moving to RW, as they already have a monster (Rodrygo, who is a right footer also playing out of postion, but is super effective there) there

My left-footed CB list for them was over the next several years, not this summer per se (with the exception of the youth super-talent Yoro, who is right-footed, and who I have down as a target for us too)

the only left footed CB they have of any import is the ageing (he turms 33yo at the end of next season) Alaba (who I admit is still really good when healthy)

IF they do (not at all sure they do make a move for him, and Barca, if they can afford him, needs him FAR more) pull Håland in the next sevral years

they likely will, for the first time ever, be a team with the top 4 T-Markt valued players on the planet all on the same team

5b2d43ab92305d3960587dc81b3ca6c0.png

plus the best football stadium ever to date, the biggest global fan base, by FAR the most CL/ECs (a staggering 15 if they win it in a few weeks, they will be and insane 15 and 3 in CL finals, with the last lost CL final coming in 1981 versus Pool, The first CL/EC final loss was in the 1961/62 season against Benfica at the Olympish Stadion (Amsterdam) by the score of 5-3. The second, in 1963/64 was against Inter, 3-1 in Vienna)

IF they pull Gvardiol and say, a recovered Reece down the road, plus Håland

they will have

1. Best manager ever.

and

2. the current or likely at that time best (on the planet)

GK (a healthy Cuntois)

Left-footed CB Gvardiol

Best LB Davies (unless Mendes and/or Dimarco passes him)

Best RB Reece (or if he doesnt recover and stay injury-free thay will go for Hakimi or TA-A, who make up the other 2 of the 3 best RB's on the planet when healthy)

A Top 2 or 3 DMF - Tchou, who may well pass up Rodri as Rodri ages out (Rodri is soon 28) in 4 or 5 or so years

Best straight CMF Valverde

Best CMF/AMF hybrid Bellingham

2 best Rwers (Mbappe and Vini Jr)

Top 3 RWer (Rodrygo) plus they will have Endrick

and if they pull him, the best CF in Håaland

just madness

A newly-revealed angle has emerged of the controversial offside incident which denied Bayern Munich a late equaliser against Real Madrid, a call which Thomas Tuchel branded 'an absolute disaster'.

Mazraoui was in fact onside in the build-up to de Ligt's goal, so the effort would have counted, if play had been allowed to continue

Tuchel was left on the verge of tears following the game.

Where the 'eck are RM finding the money and why are n't they limited by FFP rules ?
If I was into making FFP rules my first action would be to limit RM's spending.
I cannot recall a time they were n't dominating the market.
A brief spell in the early seventies maybe ?
Sometimes they were spending money unwisely but they were always the richest of clubs.
But again how many people are RM supporters ? I mean all of us support a home team, not RM or anyone else, but we have a sympathy for certain foreign clubs
and I don't see how everyone is crazy with RM.
