The result shows that we shouldn't be afraid of anyone. Can you imagine a team like Schalke doing this to us at SB with our strongest team out there? I think not. Let's not fear any team and show to the world how good we are.

Real are looking a bit like we did under Carlo in his last year, struggling for inspiration at times, delighted for Di Matteo to get that result but I had Real on my coupon, the fuckers. Great game for the neutral but if I was a Real fan or a Schalke fan I'd be concerned about how much goals they conceded and the actual ease of them.

Not sure what was more surprising - Schalke playing the way they did OR them coming close to overturning Madrid.

On the other hand, what is with Ancelotti and (nearly) throwing away leads in the Champions League? There was Milan v Deportivo, Milan v Liverpool and Dortmund v Madrid last season where they almost threw away a 3-0 first leg lead in Germany.

Also Schalke were without 6(!) first XI members. Pretty sure if Nastasic had tracked Ronaldo's run for the 2nd goal, Schalke would have gone through.

On a site note amazing to see what a decline Iker Casillas has endured. Pathetic goalkeeper. Can't believe that guy is still in goal at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Casillas, I wonder if Ancelotti is next on his hitlist?

He likes the risk... on the other hand, how would he finish all the packages of gum he has stored at home if he doesn't have any nervousness to break down throw chewing.
