Oh yeah you heard it well, let's hear what are you addicted to or obsessed with :P

Cigarettes? Alcohol? Drugs? Videogames? Internet? Mobile phone? Food? Vote above and write about it in more detail ;)

I never tried nor drugs nor cigarettes and I don't plan to touch them either, so a big no from me there.

Videogames? Oh god...yeah, but I'm managed to pull out of 'em. They really impacted my growing up and problem dealing. I played every decent game from 2003 'till now and finally for the last 6 months I can't bloody stand them anymore. Sometimes, yeah I play 'em but not as crazy as I did before.

Internet? Eeh well it depends how you look at it. I'm more...depending on internet. Lots of people on facebook, skype, videos to watch, things to download and things to learn. It's just that my life seems to impractical without it.

As for others nei.

Let's hear ya!

If you have any others write it, I shall expand the list.

Make sure you don't forget to vote!

I game a lot! But literally on FIFA street and Fifa 12, every other game to me is immature and thats what i like about FIFA it has to be more and more realistic every year or else it will fail as a game! I am only 17 so i havent really had time to become addicted to anything, as for the internet i agree it is essential in pretty much everybody's life!

An interesting topic...

I don't drink alcohol, I don't drink coffee, I don't eat too much, I don't smoke, I don't use drugs, I don't play computer games anymore, but I'm kind of addicted to my laptop. As I do most of my homework on the computer, work with Photoshop and chat with friends via Facebook and Skype, I do spend quite some time on using the computer and internet. I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to them but they're definitively a big part of my daily life. And since I've decided to write articles for a friend's newspaper it hasn't become better.

Anyway, I'm "addicted" to listening music (2-3 hours a day for sure), studying almost everything (the more the merrier) and trying to correct false statements by other persons lol

Added gambling, forgot 'bout it.

Alcohol is a drug.

You can't actually be 'addicted' (by definition) to most of the things in your poll btw.

as TX correctly pointed many of the things listed are not addictions but could be classed as obsessions.

My life long addiction has been to nicotine ,,now free for 5 months,,,better late than never

You actually can get addicted to games or internet. If you define addiction as consumption of a supstance then fair enough, we can't do it, but that's just a small technical part and many people have their own definitions of it. If we consider this supstance to be a certain time spent in front of a PC for example just to please yourself, escape problems and real world, avoid responsibility and abandon your tasks then that looks to me as pure addiction.

Yes, food for example I wrote out of joke, but fair enough, I have edited the thread to avoid things like this rather then getting responses to the point of the thread :P

And dear TX, you could respond to the thread rather then pointing something that is not really that much important.

It's the funniest thing for people to suggest marijuana is bad for you because 'the government says so' lmao. And those same people get drunk every weekend, which is a hell of a lot more harmful. In fact cannabis has more proven health benefits than anything. Hemp oil is medicinal, it can do so much things from clearing skin conditions to cure cancerous cells in the human body. That's why it's now legal in places like California.

So if you're 'addicted' to this 'drug' (so to speak), then it's actually a blessing in disguise. But anything can be bad for you if over-consumed, from simple dietary needs such as water to vegetables. In all forms of life consumption, moderation is important.

I agree, alcohol is more harmful in more way than one. I mean you cant smoke yourself to death, you'll just pass out.

Saw on the news the other day, drunk driver crashes into sign, a stoned guy doesn't drive fast. Nor does a stoned guy beat their wife.

IMO alcohol worse than a bit of weed

Addictions - Facebook, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Chelsea FC, jaffa cakes.

Obsessions - if I have all my food on a plate, let's say a roast dinner, I will eat all of every item of food before moving on, for example the peas, then the carrots, then the potatoes, then the broccoli, and lastly the meat. Also obsessed with football (obviously). Other weird obsessions include wearing a different pair of shoes each day of the week, copying Petr Cech's techniques (my fuck-ups are even similar to his ) and cricket.

Indeed, which makes Shon3x's original post bat-shit insane if you really think about, it's just down to general ignorance.

How is he being ignorant if he says he's never smoked or taken drugs, or doesn't plan to touch them?

If I say I don't plan on listening to the views of Muslim extremists, does that make me ignorant as well? No. How is that relevant, you may ask. "How is his original post ignorant?", I shall respond.

I've smoked the odd bit of weed, but that was a very long time ago. It didn't do me any harm mentally, but I certainly didn't feel good afterwards about it, felt quite sick actually.

Also nowadays I have better things to spend my money on.

This is the annoying thing about you, Terminator X. You have some cracking views and opinions, but as soon as someone even makes an implicit comment about something you have emotional/mental attachment to, you go ape-shit. You are an incredibly defensive person. If I was to slag off hip-hop you would post some sort of obnoxious YouTube video nobody would actually take the time to watch. You should just chill out; go and smoke some weed fgs.
