BlueLion. 21,491
Dalglish's signings were a lot worse in my honest opinion, he allowed himself to be conned into signing average British talent for double their actual worth. In fact, he signed Downing for £20 million, right? I'd say his actual variation is probably £6 million, considering Gary Cahill cost a little over that and has established himself as a top-notch UCL-quality defender. Predator 114
Liverpool made a mistake in sacking Kenny He made it to the final of the FA Cup and won the Carling Cup? Give a manager more time, Jurgen Klopp of Dortmund would have been sacked by any club in his first season.
Ollie 4,400
Quite shocked he's been sacked, with those players he had i thought he exceeded expectations by coming 8th.
capriccioso 2,545
It wasn't the results, it was just that he was absolutely clueless. He had a much worse transfer policy than Rafa- who for every flop managed one good signing. They had 6 home wins all season and managed their lowest point haul in decades. They finished 8th, and won a cup major clubs don't worry with, on penalties, against second division Cardiff. An incredible stat is that in 1968, Liverpool came 3rd in the English First Division and despite only getting 2 points a win, got more than Kenny did this season. Jase 43,479
TouchlineDrama @TouchlineDrama Ian St. John on André Villas-Boas—"You don't want people coming in like him, complicating everything and trying to make the game a puzzle!"Ouch! capriccioso 2,545
I suppose St. John wants English football to return to the 80s. 4-4-2. Big man up front. Long kick from the goalkeeper.

Long kick from the goalkeeper.Basicially what Daglish wanted but couldn´t make the players play. So he diverted to a game plan which involves training ground passing routines.Didn´t work either way.Would be weird to see AVB in a liverpool tracksuit. I can´t see it happening though. Jype 6,398
our fans are a lot more realistic than Chelsea fans, and our expectations are much lower. Also from rawk (regarding AVB). What the fuck are they on?
Laylabelle 9,535
Have a bad feeling about AVB going there.can see it all going wrong and them becoming decent.Need someone to carry on the way kenny did.He did a fab job!
capriccioso 2,545
Not a chance. If AVB goes there they'll be in a relegation battle. The arrogant lad still hasn't learned to change his style.
Laylabelle 9,535
But this is Liverpool their a jammy scummy club. He'll probably remember what he does and bam Downing makes some assists...Really hoping not!
Kojo 4,676
If AVB goes there he will have to spend, and FSG have no money, if they do there in SERIOUS debt. They only made 50 million on Torres and 13 on Meireles, besides that they have just lost money lost money and they cannot generate revenue or anything, and look at there league places, they aren't making enough money. Truth is winning a trophy in England doesn't get you that much money either, especially the Carling Cup what has lower prestige than the F.A Cup. LDN Blue 7,903
I would actually be terrified if Villas-Boas went to Liverpool. Should he be successful with them, we'd have a massive problem. Not to mention, they'd never let us live it down.
