Okay,this is what I think is going to happen.Chelsea will part ways with RDM irrespective of the Final result and will bring in old man Fabio who wants to manage another year or two before finally calling a day.Roman as we know,loves to bring in big names so the appointment of Capello won't be a surprise and neither will be the sacking of RDM.

It won't matter how things go under Fabio because the man will anyways leave after a year as Roman will do everything in his power to get the philosopher of beautiful football-Mr. Pep Guardiola.So it doesn't matter if Chelsea sack RDM now because his sacking is inevitable and so is the arrival of the Pep at Chelsea.

Another bullshit. Even when Carlo used his 4-3-3 formation, iit was different, way different from what Mourinho was doing.

Under Mourinho we would never score more than 100 goals in a PL season.

No it is not a joke, mate. Honestly he is not the kind of coach that we should be looking for,

• from what i know or seen he tend to rely on establishment names and not develop one.
  
• very defensive minded (which is not the direction that Roman wants us to go)
  
• havent really seen him have a plan B and no people management
  
• As far his last job goes, he has really been bad for England (stats doesnt speak the truth in this case)
  

Whereas RDM is someone whom the players know of, Chelsea legend, good people manager plus has given us the results which we had been craving for. Hence i wouldnt replace RDM with Capello atleast. We need someone to carry the club forward and not bring it on a stand still. This is my personal opinion,feel free to correct me.

Direct Drogba-centric play. Concervative play from central defenders and reduced overlapping from fullbacks. A goalkeeper who keeps lumping the ball to oblivion. Heavy reliance on set-pieces, Wide forwards who are on the pitch to be direct and defensively disciplined rather than creative so that creativity falls on a couple of players in the in the middle.

That may not be true for Ancelotti's Chelsea but we were far from consistent in getting the results even in his first year. BTW even Kalou would chuckle at Grant having tactics.

Then again I wouldn't expect you to see tactics as long as we kept getting the results even if you were hit in the head with the tactics board.

Great post, Kostas. The resurgence of Kalou and even the conversion of Ramires on the wings- two hard workers better known for their physical attributes and discipline than dribbling, crossing and flair associated with wingers has all the hallmarks of a Mourinho tactic. Similar to how he got Pandev, Eto'o and even Chivu to play as wingers in his Inter 2010 side.

Also Henrique said something about a Jose 4-3-3 not being able to score goals, therefore under Ancelotti we must have changed. The difference between Kalou and Ramires and Anelka/J.Cole and Malouda is that the latter trio are much better attacking wingers than the former. That, and the fact that Drogba was in his career best form, was a key reason as to why we were battering everyone 6-0 on the run in to the title that season, it was individual brilliance and attack minded wingers that got us scoring that many. 4-3-3 Mourinho style and slight variations of that, as Ancelotti and Di Matteo have done, is ingrained into this club as much as passing is in Barcelona.

Finally to suggest that Grant actually managed the team is ludicrous. The team managed itself, which is why I think Terry, Drogba and Lampard will be fairly good managers should they choose that path. As the natural leaders of that squad, with help from Cech, Ballack and possibly Cole and Essien, they were probably the real managers of that team.
