CHOULO19 24,332
He was very good on the ball, as I expected, but his off the ball movement still needs a lot of work, imo. Overall, very impressive for his age. Reddish-Blue
The only place to be 11,313
Amazing to think that we could have this guy, Chalobah, Ake and Romeu driving us on from midfield in a couple of years' time. The day we have these guys in the team and not some of the dead wood we've had there recently will be the day when you know this club is building something truly special. Thomas Williams, Kezza and BlueLion.

As ever, we have to be realistic and realise that Roman is more likely to spend £25 million on an established star than give players like RLC two/three years to break into the first-team, but the difference between 2013 and 2003 when Roman first arrived is that we now have genuine quality in our academy. The chances of youngsters playing for this club has increased. Only slightly, because of the instant demand for success, but the positive aspect is we are producing top talent. It was interesting watching the news conference with Perez the other day, because on the ticker there was a story about Anthony Grant being released by some League Two team (I think). This was a kid who Mourinho brought on at Old Trafford, so it gives you an idea of the types of 'eggs' he was being given at that time but also his willingness to use youngsters. In fact if you look at the appearance stats for Mourinho's seasons then there's a surprising number of youngsters who got shots, but I wouldn't say any of them were of the quality we have now and that's not surprising when you look at the investment in the academy that started about a year before Jose turned up. A decade is about how long you'd expect it to take before you saw consistent, high quality graduates.

The coach felt that Grant wouldn't be a regular in their team next season. The only place to be

Exciting times ahead for CFC.I can't see any reason for him to 'gain muscle'. He's actually nicely composed at a fairly young age, and probably strong enough to compete with other professionals. Can't see him going on loan next season either which is why it's good that he's got match time on this tour. I suspect he'll get more on the pre-season tour too. Yaya Toure is one of the biggest MF's I've ever seen and is rarely injured. coincidence? I don't think so..

He's had a couple along the way but nothing serious and nothing that would make me think he needs to gain any more muscle. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing and I could see him being part of our League Cup squad and maybe even the Premier League squad towards the end of the season. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing and I could see him being part of our League Cup squad and maybe even the Premier League squad towards the end of the season. Here we go! Mr-know-it-all!!Ruben made his Under-18 debut at the back end of the 2010-11 season after struggling with injury for much of the campaign, and started the 2011-12 season as a regular in Adrian Viveash's team. He scored his first goal for the youth team away to Newcastle United in August 2011 and went on to grab nearly half a dozen in the first half of the campaign. However, he would miss much of the second half of the season with a hip injury and was only fit to return to action in the Second Leg of the 2011-12 FA Youth Cup Final against Blackburn Rovers.17 years old and he has two major injuries within a year. If you wouldn't say prone, would you say very unlucky???Have you actually ever played a sport that requires physical contact? Well, i have. Played 2nd division Rugby League ( Thats 2 division's below the NRL) . Our Sports Physio and strength and conditioning coach, thats right, i guy who actually studies sports injuries, had us building muscle in common injury areas to avoid any further damage and help us strengthen that area. GUESS WHAT??? IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!I know Rugby league is not Football, but muscles are muscles..If Loftus-Cheek has a history with injury, especially a hip injury, you can guarantee the club a working on building his muscle mass, because as the type of MF we need, a hell of a lot of both upper body and leg strength won't hurt. Specifically pointing that out as an area that needs to be improved upon just struck me as odd.Not sure what your problem is with me that would require that little bit of name-calling, but I just disagree with what you said.
