What did Udinese do exactly?

They made a deal with Granada, they are sending their players on loan at Granada to play first-team football there. Simply, the majority of Granada’s squad is an Udinese B filled with Spanish flair.

I don't care what people say, but Chelsea needs to do this with Rangers. I hate Rangers but the club are close so this would be perfect. Imagine McEachran, Bertrand, Kakuta, Piazon, Lukaku all getting experience at the same club. Sure, the Scottish League is terrible but it is better than rotting in the reserves.

Rangers to go into administration and, trust me, the locals are not happy, Much foaming at the mouth. Should be an interesting few days ahead.

CM Good to see you back my man

With Rangers that Craig Whyte has a wee bit of explaining to do. Allegedly £30m of his own money, £24m borrowed on a mortgage for future season ticket sales, and annual revenue from Rangers of @£30m has disappeared.

Fit and proper personage ? Only when his riga mortis corpse is hanging from the stand roof

Nice one FB,

Your right, Fit and proper person, my arse. According to Scottish news last night, Up to 2005, he has owned 14 companies and every one has hit the wall. THis deal with ticketus is also a concern to Rangers fans I know. Already using the next couple of seasons ticket money is a strange way to go.

The ramifications for Scottish Football go wider as a result of this. Hearts are also on the brink, and they are owned £800,000 from Rangers from the purchase of Lee Wallace. Two chances of getting that I fear.

Yup Pompey as well after twitchy Rednapp has bled them dry. Fucks me off that you and I just get told, "pay your bills" the wealthy club owner however has a vehicle to remove them from the obligation, and who suffers? The Rangers fans and tax payers.

After all the loyalty the gers fans have shown to parasite Queen she should step in and help out financially. That yacht they were proposing in her honour could cover the bill and there'd be enough spare to bring back Cuellar, Jelavic and tempt Prso out of retirement... Sorted

Could the spl survive without Rangers in it? I know it's pretty naive for me to think this, but i certainly think the league will be affected.

Not naive at all. The amount of money that Rangers and Celtic generate is the bulk of the revenue that the SPL sees in a year. If Rangers fold, ironically, their biggest rival will suffer greatly. The SPL as a whole would be in dire straits. There will not be a 1 to 1 transfer of Rangers supporters' money to other clubs, i.e. Rangers supporters won't just start supporting other Scottish clubs and spending their money on tickets, merchandise, etc.

As for my personal views, I am a massive Gers supporter. They were my first love in the world of club football. However, I am strangely numb to this most recent development. Perhaps it is because nothing is final and I've expected this. I do have a bit of anger towards the board for letting this happen, especially the aspect of the massive tax bill that is looming. All the eejits had to do was operate within they confines of a simple tax shelter by not using portions of the club's finances on certain expenditures. However, the failed to do this, and the supporters, and possibly Scottish football, are paying for their transgressions.
