As painful as it is sentiment wise it makes sense on a footballing level to let JT go if we recall Andreas and sign a top class centre back. On the other hand it means our first choice Xl will have no homegrown players in for the foreseeable future which isn't ideal but on the flip side to thst it will put pressure on us to get some players through sharpish, so every cloud I guess. I meant literally homegrown, its good to have Cesc and Begovic as HG officially but every club needs a core from their own country and there could well be no English regulars next season in our side. With Remy, Pato and Falcao almost certainly leaving I'd love it if we bring in Troy Deeney, English and has leadership qualities, Costa/Deeney/Traore would quality wise be our best set of forwards for years. I would actually be okay with letting JT go if it is a step to bring back Christensen and give him a genuine chance.....but I know it won't happen. Btw, Christensen i homegrown. Ake is not only homegrown but also 'club trained'. I don't see how those two would weaken our current XI. Just have to have some balls. I don't see why not, Christensen is more at the Courtois/Sturridge stage of development as opposed to randomenly promoting a youngster with no experience. What I mean by that is recalling Andreas would be like signing a new defender from The Bundesliga by all intents and purposes and with Zouma out till September and probably needing some time to get up to speed when he is back, I wouldn't be that shocked to see Christensen and the new centre half (hopefully Bonnuci) line up together. Also like I said to Chelsea fan26 I meant literally home grown, no football club can go too long without a core of players from their own country, hopefully we fix it soon. LondonsFinest 692
It is a contract. You can legally find a path to brake it. It's just that we haven't inserted the option, so WE have to pay a certain compensation.  Especially if he wants to come back here with a reassured place in the 11. Styles 9,790
Honestly, Christensen's style of playing it out of the back seems like his natural game. With Stones it just seems so forced - sometimes he ends up cornered with no way out because he's held on to the ball to long. Blue Colored Sky 1,807
How much he is worth ? Christensen plays in Champions League team, in one of the best leagues, has great season, is one of truly modern centre-backs, plays in the national team at such responsible position at this age and on top of that he is homegrown player. Considering that we bought Baba for 25m€ after one good season in outsider side, I think up to 30m€ could be the right answer. It's mad. CHOULO19 24,332
If we have any sort of vision and long term planning from the board, someone should go to Andreas, offer him a starting position at least for the first couple of months for next season, and talk him into cutting the loan short.

Yeah, of course you can't promise anyone an indefinite starting spot, but he should at least be promised a run in the team and a real chance of becoming a nailed on starter. lucio and Tomo
LDN Blue 7,903
Quote Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen will spend another season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach Despite suggestions that Chelsea could look to recall the 19-year-old this summer, Eberl has revealed Monchengladbach plan to keep the player for another season. "He has developed great and a lot of clubs are interested in him, but he will definitely play for Gladbach next season," Eberl said. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-starlet-andreas-christensen-will-spend-another-season-on-loan-at-borussia-monchengladbach-a3219756.html Lol..
