Too Clean to Be True

Seems the reason Piazon's negotiations broke down with Juventus was because his wage demands were too high. They said we'll be paying the kid €1million/year. For an 18-year old :fainthv9:

By our standards, 16k per week is quite good. And if he gets a 5 year deal it's even better.

Bloody hell... It's a lot of money for a 18 years old player who has yet played a professional game and who likely will play for our academy/reserve the next season.

I hope we won't sell him in two years for £1million lol

if you think about it logically, Neymar would have been a lot worse than £1million a year. If you think of the £30million price tag on him, I couldn't have imagined the wages! :whistling:

He hasn't even played a single minute for Sao Paulo's first team. He probably needs at least a couple of years before he make his debut for us

Btw it looks like de Visser recommended him to Roman

De Visser is a good adviser.

If it comes from him i won't doubt it.

TERMS AGREED FOR YOUNG BRAZILIAN

Chelsea has agreed terms with Sao Paulo FC for the transfer of Lucas Piazon.

The player has signed a pre-contract agreement and is expected to join us in January 2012 on a long-term deal.

Piazon is a 17-year-old attacking midfielder who is currently representing Brazil at the South American Under 17 Championships, having previously finished top scorer with 10 goals in the Under 15 Championships in 2009 when his nation were runners-up. He was named player of the tournament in another Under 15 international competition held at Old Trafford.

He has scored twice in three games in the on-going Under 17 Championships in Ecuador, a winning goal versus Venezuela and a strike in a defeat against Paraguay that broke through the net. Brazil are next in action later today.
