Bir_CFC 3,455
If he is sold, i can see it as a signal for every future prospect : "Don't sign for chelsea, even if you are good enough for first team, you won't play for them, you will be sold to make profit".Think about it since we are signing every u16 -> u19 hot prospects around the world.Do you honestly think every hot prospect we're signing genuinely thinks he's being bought to become a Chelsea first XI player? They are signing because Chelsea is a big club and has state of the art facilities. You could be a shit player and just having Chelsea on your CV puts you ahead of several others. And even if he's sold (which won't happen imo) what's so bad in it for him personally? He used Chelsea as a stepping stone to get to Dortmund? Hardly a disappointing career choice.
Bir_CFC 3,455
His manager said they don't know what will happen untill Chelsea have a new manager iirc..This is what he said: "The conversation was very positive (with Chelsea). They are pleased with his progress and think he is ready to become part of the first team. "The only problem is there is still no clarity about who is head coach next season." So the board clearly rates him. Hamilton
mediator 2,026
I don't think that being signed as a future loaned player to be resaled later is a good choice imo. This isn't a win / win contract. That's why Butland did not sign for us, he didn't want to be sent on loan.
laeth 527
Can't see us selling Kevin; we don't need to sell him, he wants to play for us - it'll be fine.I'm just happy that some class teams are after him . mediator
Pizy 18,936
K Dortmund. We'll give you Kevin + 10m for Gotze. Deal?
The Mak 4,459
Funny thing is, if we didn't already sign him and Bremen did, we'd probably be in a bidding war right now with Dortmund and half the Bundeliga, Seria A and La Liga; along with everyone around us in the PL.This is actually a wonderkid we've managed to snap up for peanuts. If he went to Atletico or somewhere else, we'd probably eventually end up paying £25m+ for him. Mufassir08

Pizy 18,936
As if we don't have enough of CAMs already.....Guess I should know by now that sarcasm isn't as easily detectable over teh internetz.I've been one of KdB's biggest fans and advocates of him being a regular for us next season. I don't want him sold or loaned again. Backstreet09

Exactly, if we're going to trade Kevin for someone from Dortmund, we should be looking at someone like Gundogan, not another attacking midfielder. (not that we should be looking to offload KDB in the first place)

BlueLyon 9,359
People say we should look for CHEAP young players, now we have a very good one, we should sell him? Yeah right! We need delivery guy in midfield/wings and Kdb is exactly that. I wouldnt swap him + money for Schurle or Lewa. Yes they are both fantastic players and all, but we should loan Kdb or not. Selling him should not be an option. If there is a player I would exchange Kdb is Gundogan. Exactly what we need in midfield. nadavTKL and blu35_army
Santiago. 1,500
Are you inferring you wouldn't take that deal....?Exactly what im inferring. An attacking midfielder (Gotze) when we have Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Moses, where Moses and Oscar both are finding it hard to get into the side, or a holding versatile midfielder that is De Bryune who could literally play anywhere? Decisions decisions.
Hutcho 8,443
Will he be loaned next season or won't he?Not what you want to happen... But what you think will happen.I want him to come back, but i have a feeling he will be loaned out again for another season.
LDN Blue 7,903
I fear the pedestal people are putting KdB in, will be his greatest downfall. It seems as if some people think he is an instant fix to our problems. Peace. and The Skipper

I hate to say this, but we look almost midtable, Liverpool-esque when Mata doesn't start. This is why I'm not against going after a Isco or a MUCH less likely Gotze. Not a priority obviously.
