CHOULO19 24,332
^^HAHAHAHA Read that he traveled with the squad to Switzerland, which is great because Luiz really needs a rest.

Magic Lamps 11,692
technically at fault for Adebayor's goal but who can blame him for not anticipating that Adebayor shot. Not even Nostradamus's hypothamus could have expected that Adebayor could score from there.
CHOULO19 24,332
I honestly saw that goal coming since Adebayor had the ball in midfield (though I admit I did not see the wonder finish). Garry always makes the mistake of backing off too far. A reminder to everyone of why he can't be our first choice CB. The Skipper

Garry always makes the mistake of backing off too far. A reminder to everyone of why he can't be our first choice CB. That's one problem with him. Always backing off runners. Passive with his defending, not proactive enough in tackling the opposition player. He should have closed down Adebayor for the goal. He had 3 players covering the other Spurs attacking players but he didn't put his foot in. And we paid the price for it! xPetrCechx
BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think you can legislate for Emmanuel Adebayor doing the first positive thing in a Spurs shirt for nigh-on a year and scoring from 25 yards like that.
Mceachran 109
If it were Luiz who let him walked into the box, the analysts would have been all over it. I'm sick of Cahill not getting flack for his sometimes-shit defending. He's fine once he has his mind set on what to do, but his decision making sometimes is awful. I don't think he's bad at all. But if a coach can just help him with these brain farts we'd have a formidable CB on our hands Land, The Skipper, lucio and 1 other

calculatingInfinity 1,472
and yet again his shocking defending costs a goal. If it was Luiz on this form we wouldn't hear the end of it from the English media. Madmax, GhanaBoy, Reddish-Blue and 1 other
OneMoSalah 8,886
Has he played any shitter for Chelsea? Maybe the game vs Napoli under AVB was the only game he was even shitter in. Despiadado.Maleante
GhanaBoy 104
gary cahill is not chelsea quality, end of. ( i have been saying it all season , neither is moses, and ramires should not be a starter for a club of our calibre) we struggle when our first team is not there, simply because thier replacements are not good enough
Mceachran 109
Two games in a row he's been directly responsible for conceding a goal. Only if he now scores a goal again can we consider forgetting this. Definitely showing why there's no place for him in big matches. And it makes sense why he's always sliding to block shots in the box: because he just backs up into the box until they shoot... Ugh

Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
Next season should partner youth in the capital one cup. Maybe the odd fa cup match or two if we have a ton of fixtures. Should be nowhere near the champions league squad, and rarely near the PL squad. GhanaBoy
Joe Cool 388
Has anyone else noticed that Cahill's biceps look disproportionately small compared to the rest of his body? Has fuck all to do with football, but it's just something that bothers me every time I see him On another note, there's definitely no excuse for his performances these past few days. Horrible, lacklustre, and unsure defending, he's starting to remind me of Ben-Haim lately. Hopefully he steps it up, because he has been a definite liability ever since coming back from injury. Madmax 9,219
Horrible defending but there's no way he should start alongside Terry; too similar. One of Ivan/Luiz + one of Cahill/JT would be ideal.
Popular Post! Milan 17,957 Posted May 15, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted May 15, 2013 Say what you want but Gary, just like in Munich against Gomez, saved our asses tonight. In Munich he used his head, in Amsterdam - oh my god, did you see the double tackle? That was a clear goal and he just slided in and cleared the ball. Amazing. xPetrCechx, Bir_CFC, NiclasCFC and 9 others
Jase 43,479
Fair play to Cahill tonight. Was very worried about him starting tonight after costing us 2 goals in last 2 games but he was solid tonight. Benfica didn't expose his flaws but he did everything well what was asked of him tonight. And my word, that last minute tackle! A match winning challenge!
