I was very worried about him for this game as Southamton have a very mobile attack with great movement and he is known for his notorious positioning issues, but luckily he had a great game and the Saints didn't have a single meaningful attack after the first 13 seconds. Vital goal as well. I had a feeling he would score as he was firs to a couple of balls from corners in the first half as well.

yeah actually thought Cahill was better than Terry this time around. Terry's passing was a bit lacking especially in the first half.

We've not been keeping the football well enough. We do rally well, but we need to start playing better football. Arsenal are playing better and deserve to be ahead.

Tbf, teams play differently against Arsenal than they do against us mainly due to the fact that they fancy their chances against Arsenal's defense and often commit men forward while most teams play very defensive against us. That is also helped by the fact that we play a much slower tempo than Arsenal do so teams know that they have a decent chance of keeping us out for 90 mins if they just sit deep while they know that they are very likely to concede if they do so against Arsenal.

He has been desperate for that goal alright since his last one came against Spurs at WHL last season (IIRC).

Can't bitch about Lamps so moan about Cahill.

Go back to RAWK.

What has that got to do with anything? Cahill is horrendous and must be sold. End of.

And where was Lampard in the pivot tonight? He was up there with Torres, one of the reasons we conceded 3 against such a shite team.

You're having a fucking laugh. Seriously, half the forum seems to have you on ignore, the rest find you tedious so why don't you try changing the fucking record.

Having a bash at Lamps and his part in their three goals is desperate, even for you.

we had control of the game for large parts. 3 set-piece fuck ups and Lampard is blamed?

as for Cahill, he's a good squad player. thrives in situations when the team is defending deep but found out sometimes playing a higher line. eg - Benteke and Adebayor goals last season. but no where near poor enough to be sold.

Agree with your point on Cahill but that Adebayor goal did not come because we were playing a high line. It happened because Cahill was showing his usual self in backing off players when they run at him.

fully agree. he does that very often. i am a bit worried that for a supposed 3rd choice defender, he starts a lot of games because he's not a rock solid defender. certainly shouldn't be first choice. but he's also more than good enough as 3rd choice. shouldn't sell him off
