One of the dumbest comments I've ever read. So by your logic, people living far away from England with a limited living budget can NEVER BE A REAL FAN?

I'm currently living in Hong kong/China, so let me represent my fellow China Chelsea fans.

The time difference is 6-7 hours, my Champions League match starts at 3.45 AM till around 6 AM and guess what? I've to work at 9 AM. To watch EPL games in Hong Kong is quite expensive, so I've bought a TV package to watch Chelsea games. Bought the Chelsea fan club membership, bought a VPN to be able to watch Chelsea TV streams in China as all the streams are blocked here. Whenever Chelsea loses points/matches, I fight with my girlfriend when she annoys me. I even stay up for preseason matches until the morning.

It's not about where you live, it's about what you feel for the club.

EXACTLY, it's just nonsense. We all love the club, yes we might not be able to afford to go the games but we still genuinely love and support the team and club.

It's funny this guy has only been a member like a month and he's slagging everyone who doesn't go the games.

I was born in East London and have been to more than my fair share of Chelsea games over the years. However, mainly due to the fact I live abroad now.. I can't attend that often nowadays.

I think that some of the Lampard “hate” is a bit overboard as well. As I previously said. I can't dislike Frank. I just can't.. but I can't help but feel disappointed in his actions. He has lied at least twice, possibly three times. I have the right to be disappointed with Frank Lampard. He was my childhood hero. I had more shirts with his name on the back between 2001-08 than I can count. Home, Away, third strips. All of them with Lampard on. Bought memorabilia with his signature on it. Travelled hundreds of miles to see him play.

I'm sorry that I feel a little disappointed in him but that's life. He is still a Chelsea Legend and probably the greatest Chelsea player of all time but I am disappointed with his actions.

As for the foreign fans. I LOVE that Chelsea has foreign fans. I love the fact that I can go into Lisbon and mock annoying Benfica fans with other Chelsea fans. I love being able to go to Africa and talk with Chelsea fans. I love hearing about thousands of Americans supporting our club. It just shows how much we've grown as a club. This site is proof of that.

Wherever we may be, whatever our nationality is, one thing unites us. That thing is blue, that thing is Chelsea FC.

No. Not really anymore. He's last PL club he played for is Man City, not Chelsea. And if Lampard keeps scoring goals for City, and we lose the title to City thanks to Lampard's contributions earlier in the season, nope definitely not be remembered as a top legend.

Think of Thierry Henry. An Arsenal legend. A TRUE Arsenal legend. He wouldn't DARE of joining us or another rival club. And because of that, he has a statue in front of the Emirates. I dont know about you but Frank gave me 13 years of amazing memories, practicaly Ive become Chelsea fan arund that time he came here and I watched him all my childhood. My friends picked Ronaldo, Zidane etc but to me Lamps was that guy. And he is still my favourite player ever.

I had privilege to watch him wearing blue shirt for 13 years, and one year at city wont ruin that. Dont know about you but he is probably reason why I truly support chelsea (along few other reasons) and no one should forget what he achieved and what chelsea achieved while he was here.

With regard to this whole fan comparison thing I prefer to judge how much of a fan I am by comparing myself with someone in a similar situation to me. I go to about 35 games per season in total and live next door to a Chelsea fan who has a similar amount of time, money and other commitments and he goes to about 5 games per season. The fact that I give up more of my time and money etc while having an almost identical day to day life makes me more of a fan in my opinion.

However I cannot compare my situation with that of someone from Australia. It isn't reasonable to expect an Aussie to attend 30 games per season because they are on the other side of the world. If you get up at the ridiculous times you have to in Australia to watch a game but your Chelsea supporting friend also in Australia does not then that makes you more of a fan than them. It's all about comparing yourself to similar people.

To be honest, I can never understand why do people feel the need to compare who is the better fan. At the end of the day, we support and love the same club regardless of who we are, where we live, or even our life commitments (some may just be more busy than others but still love the club). Look at our away support at the city game towards him, thats what true fans think of him. still want to sing his name and clap him off the pitch.

Now ask yourself would you support CHelsea if we was not rich and won things? i want you to be 100% honest, cos if he didnt buy us, we might be playing in the 2nd tier of English football by now.
