RoyalBlues 4,050
Well, at least we finally gave the proper last reception he deserved at the end of last season. So no more debt.
Tomo 21,751
Just watched the City game back and there was a moment in the second half when the ball flashed across goal and if Lampard wacked his foot out he would have almost certainly scored. That and playing Giroud onside, conscious catching up with him?
Popular Post! lionsden 4,689 Posted February 3, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted February 3, 2015 Admit it, we all still love him. kellzfresh 7,229
Speak for your selfLol.... He's still lampard. I'm furious he extended his contract beyond January but seeing him at the Bridge still reminds us of what he's done for us
Bir_CFC 3,455
Like some mentioned. I thought it was absolutely awesome of our fans to start chanting "Chelsea" when he came on. They all gave him a nice applause, but they didn't let a super frank chant get started.Absolute class. Couldn't have handled it any better. darrus
generaldane 64
The only way I would find it resonable to start hating Lampard is if we was to take a giant dump on the club's logo, am I saddened to see him at City? of fucking course but so I hate him for it? FUCK NO! Lampard has done some much for the club in all the years he was here that its borderline ungrateful to suddenly start hating him now because he's playing for City. LAB 1,030
Lampard, walking on SB pitch, applauded by fans, embraced by Jose, Terry and others is a very powerful image.
BleedsBlue 1,549
I don't think Jose really offered him a contract extension and if that is true then part of this whole situation is our fault. Say what you want but I am pretty sure we could have used him as a squad player role this season(has the same role at City)Jose just never thought that he would move to City or any other premier league rival. I am not defending Frank here but Jose should have kept him for another season knowing very well that Frank wanted to continue playing at the top level. Despite how I feel about it, I'm pleased he wasn't booed. The club and the fans showed much class. In fact, more class than he had of when he joined our rivals. Being understood as Loyalty = Class. If i had been in his place i would have felt ashamed of myself when was cheered by Chelsea fans while i walked in front of them in a City shirt. Popular Post! Roquila 1,335 Posted February 5, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted February 5, 2015 Why do some posters here feel entitled to determine who's a proper fan or not? If i say i don't like Lamps anymore i'm not a proper fan? It's been discussed already, no one knows whether we actually offered him a contract or not. Mourinho said we did, Lamps said we didn't. It's up to you who you choose to believe, and believe it or not, after Lampard has lied this much about the whole ordeal I know who I'm more inclined to believe. I think we have the right to be upset at him and the way he was so deceitful in his move, but hate him? Can't understand that.Besides, I fully expect everything will calm down now. We'll probably never play against him again. Unless we draw City in the UCL... fuck.

The_Flash 1,144
Good on him I couldn't agree more We handled it perfectly, I thought. No lionising, no Super Frank ( ) chants, no boos (important - image wise) ... just muted, polite applause to remind him that even though he may have forgotten and disregarded the last 13 years in favour of lies and deceit, we haven't. We'll give you your recognition as a returning hero, albeit a returning hero who will never be seen the same way again. The real kicker for him though must be the loud cheers reserved for Didier - a real, bona fide icon. Also agreed, was wonderful to hear Didier getting a huge cheer I think Jose did that on propose was marvellous

Other than the fact that Jose's English is sometimes a bit difficult to penetrate and he fails to quite say what he wants to, it's hard to square that circle. CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Apparently he's doing R16 coverage for the CL to test out the pundit job.The final stab in the back would be if he covers the City games as opposed to ours.Sigh, the decline of a hero. xPetrCechx
