manpe 10,861
We must grind out this season with the likes of Meireles and Lampard, we have no realistic replacements (Malouda? no thank you. Essien? Rami has taken over his spot, both of them don't fit in unless one is DMF) and we loaned out Josh and Benayoun (both were mistakes loaning out imo, they would be much more useful subs or starters). Hopefully during the summer we will patch our weak points, one of which is the central midfield position next to Ramires.
Jase 43,479
What did you guys think about his attitude? The commentator mentioned his body language when AVB was giving him instructions as he waited to get subbed on and I agree his body language was rubbish. Didn't even acknowledge that he was being spoken to. Fits my impression that he's one of the players causing the most damage in that dressing room atmAlso it's funny how people suddenly think he's brilliant and it was scandalous to leave him out of the team today. Yes, he should have started over Meireles but lamps has been poor for a long time now and while he probably would have been better than Raul, I doubt whether he would have made much difference to that performance. That fk at the end was rubbish, too. Drogba would have been the better candidate. Drogba can get them wrong too but lamps has been consistently shit at freekicks for a while now.Anyway, not the best cameo but not the worst either. My point was - I'm not impressed by his body language.Yeah. I was very very disappointed with Frank when I heard the commentator pointed that out. Such a legend and fantastic professional for Chelsea FC but he let the fans down massively with that attitude.
Blue Armour 4,442
Between Lampard and Meireles, I'd rather choose Frank....The only thing Meireles has over Lampard is that he doesn't give away the ball under pressure, but he has become poor at just about everything else. His only contribution to attack are those ridiculous shots he takes from distance..The next time AVB chooses Lampard he should ask to him sit deep like he did once in pre-season, and concentrate on building up play. control the tempo and attempt long shots like he used to, rather than go near the final third and lose the ball. This means he won't be able to make many runs into the box, but we really need someone to direct the central midfield. Essien is another option of course, but he's still on the road to recovery. Popular Post! BlueLion. 21,491 Posted February 19, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted February 19, 2012 Awww, boo-hoo. Lampard is unhappy. So would I if I was only on such a meagre £150,000 a week and had a beautiful television presenter as a girlfriend. Fucking man up Frank, we would all give a leg to be in your position you ungrateful, spoilt fuck. I don't care if you're one of my favourite players, your attitude is disgusting and you deserve to be on the bench.Love from Alexxxxx francozola, Tomo, Swedish House Mafia and 3 others

Madmax 9,219
Who says Lamps lacks creativity? Hope that's sarcastic, the clip is from 4 or 5 years ago. I could post Torres videos from his liverpool days and caption it "who says torres can't score?"Lampard isn't helping his cause for regular action with his body language, is he? He looks wound up about being benched and more in the direction of a 'How dare you bench me?' wound-up rather than 'I'll show you why you shouldn't bench me.' wound-up. Not good. Peace. and eldo

Of course it was sarcastic. I honestly think he should leave in the summer because he obviously doesn't want to accept his new role at the club. manpe 10,861
Since when did we all become body language experts all of a sudden? I can tell fuck all by how a player stands, maybe it's just me, I don't emphasise details so much... especially ones that can be interpreted in many ways. A pundit or two speak about "off body language" and we all believe that. I don't know, I think some of you are overreacting a bit. I don't know, I think some of you are overreacting a bit.For the most part, body language is subconscious though, which is why it 'can' be insightful. Having said that.. yes, I'd rather hear from an expert than a mere pundit. In the days after Jose' was sacked as Chelsea boss. ITV dedicated an entire show to the analysis of his body language from press conferences & match days. Involving actual experts/professors, it was an intellectually stimulating programme.. shame I can't find it anywhere online. Not good.I'm sorry but I don't think anyone can gather much by looking at a few video clips/images to judge a person's mindset or body language. For example, look at this pic from the previous match:From this pic you would think all is rosy in the Chelsea camp, but that's also nothing more than speculation
Spike 12,049
The media portrays Lamps as a petulant child. It is possible but I refuse to believe.
francozola 2,040
Yes it's entirely possible that he hasn't said anything of the sort to AVB... that he's accepted his lesser role.We don't have much to go on, except for body language which may or may not be an accurate portrayal. If you think about it all the way back to a couple of months ago (cant remember which game) when he was substituted and he practically stomped off. He was shaking his head and spit on the ground as he was walking off. Then I think he also didn't acknowledge AVB or just brushed him off and sat down in a huff. This was quite a while back. His performance and general lack of apathy in the Swansea game. Him ignoring AVB when being given instructions against Birmingham. But we really do not know for certain. Lets see. I can see some sort of public comment being made by one of the anti-AVB players soon, especially if they're frustrated that Roman has supported him so far and might stick with him all the way this season
Kieran. 6,317
Frank's always been a model professional in my eyes (besides that sex tape I guess and the 9/11 hotel incident), but this season he's obviously giving AVB shit. His reaction to his subbing off in Newcastle, speaking to the press, and his lack of attention when AVB was talking to him are clear indications that he's unhappy. I don't know how you can think otherwise...I love you Frank, but go to PSG or LA.
BlueLion. 21,491
Definitely needs to move on unless he is willing to sit on the bench. If not, he can sod off, legend or not he is becoming a spoilt kid and a disruptive influence in the camp.
