bushman 2,043
The Nigerian teenager has become a integralpart of Eredivisie outfit ADO Den Haag since moving on loan in Januaryand his recent form may see him called up to his national side. Could hemake the grade at the Bridge? In recent years Chelsea have used the Eredivisie with great effectregarding loan deals for their young talent with Alex, SlobodanRajkovic, Gael Kakuta, Patrick van Aanholt and Matej Delac just a fewexamples of players to go to Holland to gain first team experience withvarying levels of success. At the moment however there is a new kid on the block who iscausing a stir in the Dutch top division in the form of Nigerianyoungster Kenneth Omeruo. At just 18-years-old he cemented a place inthe ADO Den Haag side last season during a late loan spell that has beencontinued into this season. He is known in Holland for his strong physical presence that isvisible in his already firmly established 6ft 2in frame and stockychest. Also lightning fast he can operate at both right full back and atthe heart of defense. Not to mention he has also proved himself a dangerous goal threatwith his aerial ability a massive bonus and his recent assuredperformances against Heerenveen in particular has seen him earmarked fora full international call-up.He was signed for an undisclosed fee from Standard Liege inJanuary before being immediately shipped out to ADO and now his careerseems to be on an upward trend with a potential place in the Chelseafirst team on the horizon. Here is a kid that makes great sense to keep him at ADO for another year or so. bushman 2,043
Since I have no desire to pound him any longer, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that I had caused here. The other day I saw Kenneth play, he sure looks pretty promising. Hopefully, soon he may get his chance to prove himself at Stamford Bridge. The only place to be 11,313
oh my god you two please stop with the internet fighting it's getting annoyingThe guy constantly criticises the club and then makes statements like all our loans are 'fucking baffling'. He's either trolling and needs to go back to RAWK or he's genuinely clueless. Thomas Williams and BlueSunshine
ja1 1,166
Does anyone know if he would qualify for a work permit in England? Now he is playing established himself for Nigeria he'll definitely get a work permit, even if not, they could appeal on an 'exceptional young talent' basis. bushman 2,043
I see no problem to get work permit, at all. As a matter of fact, it should be an easy task for Chelsea to get it for him.
OReillyD36 311
Should get a work permit no problem, I think what prevented us from getting one for Rajkovic was his poor character history e.g spitting at a ref
bushman 2,043
Well, if one spits at the ref, then I assume itยดs not a very good example. However, I think that most likely there was more to it than just the spitting. CHOULO19 24,332
Never understood the issue of work permits in the UK. I mean if we want to hire him and he wants to work for us, where is the problem?!Anyway, on Omerou, I think he'll be with us in preseason in the summer and then the manager (whoever he turns out to be) will decide if should loan him out or not. For a work permit in football they generally have to be playing for their National Team to achieve this status... CHOULO19
ja1 1,166
Omeruo - "I must first see what the plans of Chelsea are," said Omeruo. "But if I'm not playing in England I would like to remain with ADO."For me, it's either ADO or Chelsea."
Mufassir08 2,400
Chelsea have told Nigerian youngster Kenneth Omeruo that he'll return from loan to be in the first team squad next season (Mirror)Now i think kalas deserves to be recalled before omeruo.Kalas has been brilliant for vitesse for almost 2 years now and like omeruo he also can play both rb/cb. killer1257

Or whoever is tweeting is lying.I taught in Africa ,,,ages are not to be relied on ,The reasons are sometimes complex but I would never completely accept a given age. Again the term High School is open to different interpretations , The majority only have Primary Education not Secondary. It would be normal to finish schooling at 12 or

Not the only place I heard this from. This is a common problem in countries such as Nigeria and Ghana. Hope this is not the case with Omeruo. IMO has a young face and hopefully is the real age. People use to say the same thing about Moses as he was a big beast when he was around 16 years old. It goes on though sadly.
