chrismada9 1,948
I chose Juan Mata because he has made some top quality assists this season, and also great goals...Petr Cech should also be in the list because he has kept us in matches where it has most mattered with top quality saves... and I'll be brave and say that Romeu should also be there as well... Tomo 21,751
Hard choice but i thought i would choose Sturridge for these reason's.This year his determination to make a success off himself at Chelsea has been unbelivable, he forced the loan move through because he wasn't get played enough done well there and has came back and played his way into the team and on current form out of forwards i would probally only rate Van Persie higher than him in England. Henrique 9,133
Ramires for me. Mata still lacks consistency and AVB must decide if he is a winger or a CAM.
BlueLion. 21,491
1. Ramires2. Mata3. Sturridge4. Oriol5. MeirelesNo-one else deserves any recognition whatsoever. We seem a stronger outfit when all five of those players are on the field.Ramires for me. Mata still lacks consistency and AVB must decide if he is a winger or a CAM.Yes I thoroughly agree. I personally think Juan is more suited to wide positions, he is a good option at CAM but I feel this team needs a driving force in midfield (ie. Essien, Ramires) more than it does a playmaker at present, because we have high levels of creativity from the wings.
Kez 2,727
Mata, just edging it over Sturridge for me, adapting to a new league instantly & consistently performing well, unbelievable player.
True_Blue 469
Sturridge,Mata and Ramires.Terry deserves a mention apart from the Arsenal game he was brilliant.Romeu? Cmon he has been good but he just played a handful games.
Bir_CFC 3,455
Ramires and Mata for me. Danny has been class but other than City he has been disappointing against other big teams. Can't say the same for the other two. Especially Ramires.

GodZola 630
Difficult to split the afore mentioned but I will go with Sturridge, he is such an exciting player that has the opposition running scared shitless! I have also been impressed with the way he has improved his ability to kick with his right foot now. If he can just get his head up when in advanced positions he would be frightening! He was my choice to be our player of the year in BL's prediction thread at the start of the season, where I also thought he would make England's Euro 2012 squad. Keep it up Danny boy - lovin it! Joker10 946
Ramires and Mata for me. Danny has been class but other than City he has been disappointing against other big teams. Can't say the same for the other two. Especially Ramires.I don't understand why Sturridge is criticized so much, for a player that has been arguably our best player he sure gets criticized a lot.Which big game did Ramires stand out?United? he missed a couple of sitters and didn't do that muchArsenal? he was subbed a nearly half way through the game.Bayer Leverkusen 2nd leg? I remember him playing disciplined in the 4-2-3-1 playing behind Lampard in the first half, but lost his discipline where he mindlessly went out of position many times, hence why we lost the midfield battle in that game.Liverpool? Mata biggest game was against Arsenal, and that was in a losing effort.Anyway Sturridge gets my vote, but it is really close between him and Mata. Although i think Mata is our most important player but not necessarily our best player.

Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Mata SturidgeRamires in no order at all. We all know the first two, but Ramires has heped on all levels, his dashing runs witch got clichy the red goals scored and work rate foes pretty unnoticed. We need however a younger player of that caliber (as in work rate) for the our attack cause it's those games against wigan where a Kun aguero comes on and just breathes life into a dead game that stimulates the team. Naked Mole Rat 437
Salomon Kalou for not playing in 12 out of 16 PL games this season. On a more serious note though, for me it'd be Sturridge. Our top scorer, and also the most eager player on the team along with Ramires. (It was his determination that changed the direction of the City game and many other.)And of course, Mata, Ramires and Luiz deserve an honourable mention as well. I'm surprised Luiz isn't on the list because other than the QPR match, I think he's been very solid so far.
