lets all make a long list of players we want to show the door to and then a long list of players worth in excess of £500m and hope that Roman gets his chequebook out.

OK if we have had a very poor season then we should consider this but we have just lost 3-5 and people are calling for us to get rid of half the squad. Agreed Bosingwa and Malouda should go but what has Ivanovic done so badly to warrant a place in the 'out' list? The same goes for Alex.

I think in a way this shows how spoilt we have become as fans that we can make such a long list of players we want and over-react so wildly to one defeat.

Agreed, some people may have posted as over-reactions but my list was in no way influenced by today result. I think the same does apply for the most who replied tbh. Before or after the game I think most of our list's would have been the same if not very similar. And Branislav? nothing in the world can warrant an Iva departure, he cannot leave. Malouda, Kalou, Bosingwa and Anelka are four players that we should have tried hard to offload. At the end of august, it happened that the board didn't even tried to sell them. Now, when we talk about players whom we have to get rid, their names come in first position. That puts in relief our average mercato, and shows our board didn't really target the problems and hence didn't have fixed them.

Right. His previous performance he scored a brace. Before that he played well against Valencia. Before that he scored. Before that he was best Chelsea player against Man U and scored. Before that he assisted both goals against Bayer Leverkusen.

So basically he's had his first bad game since his sub appearance against Sunderland in early September. He was bad today. Today. And please spare me about last season. He had a terrible half season for Chelsea. There's nothing he or we can undo that season. But do you want to concentrate on this season or not?

This goes beyond just picking on Torres today. Chelsea has some fundamental problems. They need to be addressed. And I would rather read posts that discuss these issues rather than fuck off him, sell that tosser, etc.
