Would like to see how he would have performed in the Premier League.

Actually think Ronaldo is a more complete footballer than Messi, and he's done well in the EPL as well as in LaLiga.

That being said, there is something magical about watching Messi on a good day.

he does have rather a lot of good days...

Idiot, you realize Barcelona gave him MEDICINE because he had a growth problem? Show me an article that says he's on steroids otherwise, get your thumb out of your ass.

Yeah and he still has the growth problem (that didn't even get diagnosed until age 11) still, even as recently as a few weeks ago! Do you think he still has a growth problem?

HE IS ON HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE it is even stronger than any steroid. And Barca admits it. they admit they dose him for recovery AND training.

when he was younger he was no more frail than cristiano was, and age 11 is a very late diagnosis.

get over it buddy, MESSI IS A CHEATER and Barca is a corrupt organization.

Messi was born with a Growth Hormone Deficiency so without these so called "steroids" he would be very sick throughout his life. Do your damn research before slagging him off.

Since when was a legitimate medical practice used on sick individuals considered fucking cheat codes?

Sure some idiots abuse growth hormones, but it is pretty damn arrogant to think you can just place Messi in with those losers.

Who diagnosed him?

and at age 11 i'm sure he already showed some potential as a footballer.. maybe he just needed a bit more size?? But I'm sure in Argentina its impossible to bribe a doctor... especially if you might gain millions and millions of $$$ from it down the road..

and read this, from an expert in the field speaking on HGH use in adults (which Messi and Barca are open about doing even right now)

In reality, there is no such thing in adults as growth hormone deficiency.

In adults, physicians NEVER check for HGH deficiency. We DO, however, check for an excess of HGH. We do so when we see a patient with any of the changes described above and suspect that he or she might have a pituitary tumor that secrets too much HGH. (Acromegaly, orgiantism, is the term for the disease of growth hormone excess when it is florid or longstanding, but subtle HGH excess may not initially produce such dramatic body changes.)

Even in adult patients who, because of destructive tumors or other causes, have no pituitary function at all, we physicians never give them HGH replacement, as there is no need for it. We do replace other pituitary hormones, but never HGH.

In summary, there is no place in medicine or health for adults to take HGH, at least not in the current realm of medical science and practice.

a picture of him and his parents

he doesn't look way smaller or even the same size, looks bigger than them

also if you read up on his story its curious how he was diagnosed with growth deficiency just as he was getting a lot of attention from big clubs... and a certain club stepped in to sign him right as he started treaments... such treatment which this certiain club is becoming well known for

Yeah, it is a real pleasure to watch him play. I can't get enough, everything seems to be easy with him. And what I like with his style, it is that it's very clean (unlike the likes of Ronaldo, Nani, ect...).

Some might argue he isn't the best player, but soon enough there will be no room for this debate. Unless he gets a bad injury, in a max of two years, he most likely will top everything.

P.s. To discredit him because he had to take testosterone is plainly ridiculous.

Prove he had to take HGH. Prove he still has to, constantly.

Thats a bunch of bullshit.

Cristiano is a better player anyway, and he hasn't been openly doping since the onset of puberty.

There are many players that could be as good as Messi with all that La Masia medical teams, nutrition and coaching.

Sources for your accusations that Messi still OPENLY does steroids, please.

a journo who's very close to barca speaks on their practice of using hgh as part of routine treatments for their players

and thats referring to players that don't even have a history of "legal" use of HGH injections.

just watch, as messi gets old he's gonna pick up so many injuries and and get fat quickly because he has an unnatural amount of hormones.

and he's not the only one doping, thats for sure.. but he is the only one being praised as this God of sport even though he is as dirty as the average, if not moreso, and doesn't mind a good bit of handball on the pitch either!

Cycling fans reckon a consequence of doping is an enlarged head:

eddy.jpg

As you can see, Eddy Merckx, one of the legends of the sport has an alarmingly huge head, which wasn't anywhere near as large back when he raced. We can tell if Messi's a drug cheat in 20 years time by the size of his head. And sorry if I offend any Napoli fans, but Maradona's head seems to have grown of late as well....

But he will always be a cheat in my book for that shameless handball goal. Pele and the true legends of the game never did such things.

Head and specifically jaw enlargement along with an enlargement of major joints and muscle groups happens immediately, but bloat also happens after training is reduced or after stopping injections (or just getting old)

you can see messi's head gets bigger especially his jaw but its not that noticeable yet because of his age and also that he isn't very big to begin with.

but if you compare maradona's head in early 20s to 10 years older, you can see it.. and now he's been off the injections for a while it is impossible not to see

its just funny though, the world of football is so different than the sporting culture i grew up with in north america

here cheating is a huge deal, but in football culture things like the 'hand of god' and all kinds of other controversies are glossed over.

Not really. Gamesmanship is usually associated with Latin American and South European countries, they are stereotyped with bending the rules to their advantage. Obviously this is an unfair stereotype as its spread worldwide now, even anglophone players are diving, etc.

Despite this, the English media still slams any gamesmanship. In Australia, that kind of thing is hated with a passion, sport is one of the most important features of our national psyche and if sport doesn't go with our general values of fair play and having a go, trying your best etc. we're quick to pick up and vent our anger on it.

I am surprised of why are we debating about messi taking hormone when he was a kid

- He is not super fast (A lot of players are much faster)

- His shot is not really powerful (again plenty of player has more powerful shot)

- His jump is just ok

What make him special is his close ball control which enable him to change direction with pace and hesitation move which confuse defender

And also he is a very good team player, he pass the ball well, his vision is excellent and he is not selfish

Still the best league in the world???

And you say that because there is a fight for tittle...well same as Madrid vs Barcelona. Then you say fight for third fourth and fith...well clearly you don't follow la liga if you don't see how many teams are fighting for those places!

PL was the best a couple of years ago and I agree with that, but today that tittle now belongs to Spain.
