Juan Mata

He is most probably still more useful in the no. 10 role than Fabregas. And since Fabregas is shit in the no. 6 role, too. It would make him completely obsolete.

But if he came back we would have to not have improved much. Mata due to his lack of defensive and athletic ability is a specialist just like Fabregas (despite a better one) and hence no long term solution for the no. 10 spot.

He's probably praying hard right now that Mourinho does not end up at United...

But IF that happens, can we go and get him back?

No, thank you. We already have Cesc as the kind of player needing a perfect setup to shine.

Mata shone the best with hazard as the supporting star, when based on talent it should now be otherwise. Problem is Mata isn't anywhere near as good in the supporting role...

We don't need him, but I'd have a laugh about this whole situation if Jose ended up at United

But he still might be a good player to have for depth.

I think he's tired of going in and out of the starting XI, his last season at Chelsea and his entire career at United. I think he'll move somewhere he's guaranteed to start, maybe a return to Valencia is on the cards.

Depends on our next manager. I'd have him back in a heartbeat if we appoint a more attacking manager or one who loves having loads of possession. If it's Simeone then I'd say no.

Still love the little guy. Still good enough to play for a top PL club and too good to go back to Valencia. Just being used completely wrong at United.

- I still love Juan

- Great to see the fans give him a standing ovation

- Once again, he embraced every player after the match - http://metro.co.uk/2016/02/07/manchester-uniteds-juan-mata-embraces-every-chelsea-player-after-match-5667956/

Both are dreadful defensively and off the ball, with them in the same lineup the opposition would swamp our midfield and get no end of joy.

I don't agree at all, you don't need 10 men being superb defensively, and Fabregas is quiet decent in that aspect.

"It is always special for me to play in Stamford Bridge," he wrote in his blog.

"My feelings are different in a day like this, but once the referee blows the whistle for the kick-off, in my mind the only goal is to win, to give everything you have to help the team and to enjoy on the pitch.

"I have to say that I am deeply grateful for the reception from the Chelsea fans and their applause when I was substituted."
