Even when he is not tired before a game, his influence decreases greatly in the last 15 mins. We used to slate AVB for often subbing him off in the last 10-15 mins but i guess now we found out why. And no, he did not have a bad game, imo. He had some sublime touches, linked up extremely well with Hazard and tracked back and defended very well in the first half. Instead of fucking resting him he plays the entire 90 against SpartaCan hardly blame him. We flogged him to death last season by playing in nearly all our of 50+ games then. He then went to the Euros. Played in the Olympics. And only got a bit of rest earlier this season under RDM. Since then, he has hardly got one. To be honest with Mata, he was groomed to be a striker, not a number 10, however, since coming to Chelsea, he was made into that position cause no one in Chelsea had any creative ability... Also, don't think I'm hating on Mata, I still think he's the best player this year for Chelsea... it's a shame to think that he might want to leave somewhere in teh future..Also, at his age, I don't think he's going to leave to go to either Barca or Real..... Lmao, what team have you been watching? granted he wasn't great yesterday and has had some bad games, but he's been far and away our most influential player since the season started.
