Gianfranco_Z 202
AVB clearly has earmarked a place on the right/left of attack for DannyIf that's the case then Fuck. Sturridge played best as a striker with Bolton... such a waste...

Slam Dunk 1,442
If that's the case then Fuck. Sturridge played best as a striker with Bolton... such a waste...Looks to be that way, ever since Arnesen spoke about his ability to play on the wings, I think the club has always had the RW spot earmarked for him. Not the worst choice, by all means, as he deserves the chance to play in the starting XI this season. I still think he could very useful centrally, running behind the centre backs, but with Torres/Drogba and possibly Lukaku, it just isn't possible. manpe 10,861
It won't be bad for him to play on the wing as a secondary forward, who has license to cut inside and swap position with whoever is the striker... to confuse opposition's defenders, Chelsea's style of play tends to do that quite often, as all our strikers have drift off to the wing while the other goes inside.E: talking about Danny, not Lukaku

Melanicus 5,208
Asked whether Lukaku is ready for Chelsea, he said: "Absolutely. If I'm surrounded by players better than those I'm currently playing with at Anderlecht, I have the ability to adapt quickly and raise my game. I wouldn't play immediately if I join a top European club but I will be in an environment that will make me stronger. I will need a period of adjustment, perhaps a season, before I can compete." Romelu Lukaku: "It has been suggested that I should play, most of all, and not lose time sitting on the bench, but if I went to a big club like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern or Chelsea, I wouldn't want to burn out. Those games at that level are much more intense. If I go into a challenge with Vince [Vincent Kompany] in training with the Red Devils [the Belgian national team], I always feel: 'Ooomph, I will need some time to adapt there!' Romelu Lukaku: "I don't want to go somewhere to be fifth choice, though. I couldn't. I would say yes to two experienced strikers and a youngster, because that would mean I could develop and get a couple of games." Lukaku is also refusing to rule out the possibility that he will stay at Anderlecht!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lukaku said: "I think we'll have a great season," he said in De Morgen. "I am counting on the possibility of still being here. But if I stay it will be to destroy all opposition. I want to make it an exceptional season then." Romelu Lukaku: "Anything can happen at the big clubs. There may be players sold, so they would need me. I am waiting." :champions:
