And with that interview, just like that, ESPN eclipse Sky Sports, finally.

Both are utterly unreliable, but to see what was reliable (Sky) turn into a house of lies, this feels like karma creeping up.

Breaking news!

Mourinho has not finished yet.

He's planning on a £90 bid for hazard, and is in talks with monaco about midfielder Bakayoko. Monaco are becoming increasingly frustrated by chelsea, and want this deal wrapped up quickly so then can work on finding a replacement.

This is completely made up by me, just showing u how easy a story is made up by the media if I can fully qualified journalists can pull anything out of the hat.

I'm sure he really did support Chelsea growing up, in the same way I supported the LA Lakers between ages 10 & 12, because everyone around me had a basketball team, and the Lakers were only 1 of maybe 4 team names I could remember. Plus they won lots, so, lots of highs.

This isn't a guy who grew up aged 4 in a Chelsea top his dad gave him, got a tattoo of our lion on his calf aged 14 after a drunken bender, with Drogba posters on his wall every year since. That's the image that was curated though:lol:

Fuck him.
Back when we were linked with Sandro, VVD, Bakayoko and him he was always the least exciting transfer for me. Poor first touch, low football IQ and questionable technique. He has the physical aspects to make the most of counters and to bully some defenders, but he can kiss much of that goodbye now that he will go up against packed defenses.

Also, if it is true that he had been talking with Conte for several weeks about playing for us, and then chose to go to Utd anyway it just shows what kind of loyalty/dedication he has.
There is no world where I think £100m is good business for him. And I do not even mean that from a commercial perspective, I mean in terms of ROI on the pitch.

We have a strong team that can support a good striker to get the 20 goals a season. What we need in order to move forward as a club is someone who can get 20 goals, but also make the players around him better. That was never going to be Lukaku.
I have my concerns about Morata, but there can be no question that he is the one target we have had who would be able to actually improve his teammates. It hurts losing Lukaku to United, if he would have gone to PSG I would care 0%, now it is some prestige lost. Having said that, I honestly believe we are better off without him.

I know people are (very) upset with the delay of our transfers, perhaps there is some truth to us paying for our inertia. I do however believe that there is much we do not know going on behind the scenes.

Imagine we end this transfer window with these players:

Morata
Sandro
Rudiger
Bakayoko
Danilo/Ox
Caballero
Mahrez/other RW

Would that not be amazing? Great width, while upgrading the parts of the team where we struggled. Pre-season is about to start, and I am a strong believer that it is imperative for a new player to be there in order to have a good start.
If we have not signed at least four of those players within two weeks, you can count me in the "board is fucking up" team, but until then at least I will remain calm about the state of things. Rudiger, Caballero and Bakayoko seem certain, it is the rest where the rush is starting to be felt a bit.

Todd Kane loves Chelsea since he was little even though he hasn't been given a chance since ever. Despite playing only a handful of matches he still claims he loves the club a lot. Compare him to a fraud like Lukaku who couldn't fight for a 2nd place with Torres and Ba LOL

Good for him. Now compare their pay checks and there status as a football player. Got him far, that love for the club...

Lukaku first interview as Man Utd player shows everything you thought you knew was wrong

It was said you would destroy the dark side, not join them!

Romelu Lukaku has not yet been officially announced as a Manchester United player, but he sat down with ESPN FC in Los Angeles for an exclusive interview about just why he chose the evil empire over the club he (supposedly) supported as a boy and was (supposedly) all ready to sign for even just a couple weeks ago.

“It’s the biggest club in the world.”

Fair enough.

“This is an opportunity that I've always wanted since I was a child. When [Manchester United] came calling, I didn't have to think twice. So I'm really delighted to hopefully be part of their history."

Oh?

“Who would say no to the biggest club in the world?”
