Jype 6,398
If he stays and is happy to share playing time with Costa, great. If not, the club will move on. Simple really. didierforever
Korea 734
If Lukaku plays better than Torres then yes he will get to play more. Jose dropped Casillas so I don't think we should be worried about Lukaku vs Torres. Thats the point though.Mourinho could give 2 shits about what other people think. The majority of fans would want lukaku to start, since he was scoring quite a lot and young, but Mourinho would not get pressured into that.If Jose really felt lukaku was at least 2nd in the depth order, their would be no way Jose would allow him to leave on loan. Tomo 21,751
YES! Mourinho isn't convinced concerning torres. He'll drop and choose anyone if it makes the team successful! Just recall Pepe in Madrid. Mourinho always hailed and praised Pepe as a leader and important asset for the team. He even kissed his scalp when he substituted him lol. Varane appeared and had some great performances. Pepe was benched immediately and never overtook Varane under Mourinho's tenure. Mourinho is one of the few coaches who aren't obsessed with their "favourite players". Arbeloa: Mourinho treated superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo the same as Real Madrid's academy players "We realised who Mou was one day in the preseason. The Spaniards were just coming off their World Cup win and we met up in Los Angeles. There we played a game against the Galaxy and at half-time we were losing 2-0. The screams that came from that mouth! At everyone, no one was spared. We learned very quickly who Mou really was," Arbeloa said."You could've never imagined Pellegrini yelling like that at Cristiano. We remember that chat vividly. He said: 'You don't want to run? It's not a problem for me: to the bench. You neither? It's not a problem for me: out. Whoever it was: a World Cup champion, I'll put in Kaka or a youth player.-Álvaro Arbeloa; This This this this this and this.Made me laugh last summer when people thought Jose would make Essien and Lampard forefront off his plans to chase former glory.Mourinho is very sentimental on a personal level, professionally he is the most ruthless man in Sport. Jype 6,398
Honestly speaking, do you guys think Mourinho will pick Lukaku over Torres?I seriously doubt he does and when one thing goes wrong, I can see Lukaku never getting game time again under Jose. Why wouldn't he? If Lukaku spent as much time impressing Mourinho in training as he does moaning to the media about how miserable his life is, the sky's the limit. We all know Torres is only still at the club because no one will take him because of his wages so he won't be picked if the others (Costa and Lukaku) perform much better. If Torres can't be offloaded this transfer window, he most certainly will be next summer when he only has a year left on his contract and a lot of smaller clubs can afford to match his year's wages at Chelsea with a contract offer of 2-3 years on smaller wages. If Lukaku is not confident enough to think he's got what it takes to get ahead of Torres in the pecking order, he has no place at Mourinho's Chelsea. xPetrCechx 13,570
Juventus are ready to fight it out with Everton, Tottenham & Wolfsburg for the signing of Romelu Lukaku this summer. #CFC (Evening Standard)Chelsea are prepared to sell the Belgium international and are looking for offers in excess of £20m for Lukaku. #CFC (Evening Standard)Lukaku is keen to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis having started just four games. #CFC (Evening Standard)Lukaku is not interested in extending his contract, which has two years left to run. #CFC (Evening Standard)

MrBlueGuy 1,552
Which 'top team' will take him now as he wanted a CL club apparently lol, here are some teams imo he could join:Everton-no need to say moreSpurs-unlikely but not impossible, most likely imoJuve- extremely unlikely now Morata signedMilan- doubt they can afford him and I don't think we will loan him with him entering final year next year, maybe if they manage to sell BalotelliInter- cannot afford him, cannot even afford Mikel so unlikelyMonaco-not linked but could be possible especially with Falcao might be joining Madrid, but a lot of things needed to happen for it to even be consideredDortmund-also now unlikely with Immobile and Ramos signed, maybe even impossibleArsenal- never knows Wenger might get desperate and offer 30m for him in last days of transfer, unlikely but who knows hahahhahaLiverpool- same with Arsenal although doubt Jose will allow him to go there or to Arsenal. A big offer might force us to think thoughWolfsburg- also most likely of all especially since they have the money, will make him Kevin 2, impressed on loan but kicked out for attitude with JoseThere you go, all the 'top clubs' that he said he will join if he leaves Chelsea. Unless he decides to surprise us all and move to middle east or something LOL

Who else is there?Maybe we should gamble and bring Pato back to Europe. He'd be very cheap. Sure, he sucks in Brazil, but he's completely unmotivated there and plays like he doesn't give a fuck anymore. He seems to have stopped getting injured so much. If anyone can motivate him again, it's Jose. Sure, it's a gamble, but I don't believe his talent is gone. The lad showed so much promise and always used to step up in big games when he played for Milan. It's honestly mind-boggling he's just 24 years old. Younger than Costa. Pretty sad.
