José1893 89
British people seem to love Hitler. Every time their weakness is exposed ( and there are plenty of them existing lol) they bring up Hitler. Even when you quote a German newspaper, they bring up nazi-Germany. I sincerely hope that England advance in the World Cup so we can make Brazil your concentration camp. johnnythefirst 1,076
Holy shit, that German is drunk. Must. Resist. Urge. To. Make. Nazi. Jokes. Also, Lukaku is not suddenly going to suck after one horrible game. Origi is not going to be a super striker after one decent performance. Typical English, your country is far behind Germany in every aspect but you still just cannot keep calm even in football when Germany regularly fucks your national team.I hope you re-read this, this morning and feel suitably ashamed.Admittedly, it was probably a poor taste joke, referencing Herr Goebbels. However, there was no need to respond I the way you did.As an English person who has worked and lived in Bavaria - I am happy to admit there are many things the German nation do well:- Autobahn- investment in small business- taxes- beer- educationI found the majority of German people to be polite, well educated, decent people - so I would never 'tar' everybody with the same brush. In fact, if you look around Europe - Germany/Austria and Britain are 'people's' that probably most resemble each other.Sure the UK has suffered a down-turn lately, lack of investment into Engineering (where we once ruled the world) - but we are still a tolerant, multi-cultural country. Hope you see sense and apologise - and everybody chills out a bit...We can't change the past, but we can ALL influence the future... yuvala, Beepu, didierforever and 4 others
Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted June 18, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 18, 2014 Unfair to judge him to harshly on that showing. Algeria defended pretty well and Belgium looked a bit clueless for the first hour or so. I'm never sure how good a measure of a player's quality the World Cup actually provides because it's a fairly unique atmosphere, but the worrying thing was just how poor his touch looked. Put him into space to run onto the ball and he can be a devastating presence but starve him of space and he looks fairly useless. One thing I thought was odd were his runs into the six yard box, or lack of them. There was a ball across the box in the first-half that he simply didn't attack and it's something I've noticed he does a fair bit, preferring to hang around the penalty spot rather than look to play on the last man.His biggest problem is that he talks himself up so much that he makes a rod for his own back. Watching him yesterday with the words 'I'm a complete striker, I'm a complete striker' in the back of my head just makes every poor touch ten times worse. He needs to focus on his game and stop talking. Peace., Term-X, The Mak and 11 others
Popular Post! different level 1,056 Posted June 18, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 18, 2014 It's probably a bit too harsh te get a lot of criticism for the game against Algeria alone, he's had similar ones with Everton and WBA. However, when a player is whining in front of the journos the way he did, puts more pressure to him and the backlash to a bad performance is significantly heavier and it makes it easier for people to turn on him. What makes me dislike him even more is his newest media jibe. He doesn't realize how lucky he is to be offered to play for a top team such as Chelsea. He's a fool if he thinks teams like Juventus will suddenly ditch Tevez and Llorente in order to put him in his comfort zone. There'll always be competition when you play with the big boys. Change your attitude or leave already. 40 mil euro sounds nice... Viper22, The only place to be, Madmax and 5 others

There's going to be plenty of games (West Ham being two) next season where our opponents will make Algeria look like an all out attacking team The ability to receive the ball with back towards goal, control, lay off and run on should never be underestimated - and for me that's where he has a huge hole in his game... Can that be improved? - Yes... Will it take time? Yes...So saying he is ready is whats killing him, on the one hand it's nice to see confidence, on the other it's borderline delusional... I hope for the whole team, they have a better game next time round... Maybe the pressure got to them... This is where 'mental strength' can never be underestimated as an attribute. The German team seem to have this in abundance - which always makes them dangerous... LAB, manpe, The only place to be and 1 other
kellzfresh 7,229
Hopefully he can be more humble and try to develop his weaknesses, instead of accepting he is the complete striker and not putting any effort in developing it. His first touch and back to goal can be developed and it will help him out against teams like Algeria and westhams who park the bus. The only place to be 11,313
Here's the thing - as a professional footballer he's light years ahead of where Drogba was as the same age. But Drogba came to us as a 26 year old with good technique and presence. As players arriving at this club, they're quite far apart in those terms. That comparison is probably weighing on people's perceptions of him, and maybe even his own opinion of his talents. Is it inconceivable that he might not be ready to lead the line for this club until the next World Cup? Might he need that amount of time to mature? zolayes

To keep getting loan after loan? To sit on the bench for most of the season and barely get better at all? Difficult situation.Btw, I saw him celebrating like a madman after the winning goal yesterday, I think mentally he'll be fine to start against Russia.
