Madmax 9,219
Anything written by the UK media, I do not trust much. I hope, you can see my skepticism. Well you can bury your head in the sand all you want, it doesn't change the realities of the situation. Anyway this is adding nothing to the conversation so I'll stop but hopefully now everyone knows it was indeed Lukaku who asked to leave and not Mourinho who made him do so. I understand you might be having some problems reading, considering your grammar, but if a guy says something in an interview and it gets reported by not one but multiple media outlets all over the world then how the fuck can you just ignore that?If anyone here is making assumptions and relying on them, it's you. Next thing we will hear is that what mourinho says on the camera is not true. It's all been manipulated to think he said that. Mourinho has no power or say at all but the man behind the curtain! :-D Jype
bushman 2,043
If Jose says things on camera, that´s reliable, we all can hear it.If something is written in the news, that could be manipulated, easily. No big deal here for most of us.

LAB 1,030
Don't mind the flame starter. Clearly Lukaku wanted to have a starting spot and he asked to leave on loan. And there is nothing wrong about that of course! As i said before all depends on his decisions after the WC. I believe that if he is willing to settle for a second place behind our striker signing we have to keep him.
LukakutoStamford 779
Lots of nonsense in this thread. Lukaku needed to leave as he was a 20 year old who needs minutes to get better. Why people think he should sit on the bench and play 500 minutes with crap forwards Chelsea had is beyond me.Now he has two 15+ goal PL seasons under his belt. Ideally he comes back and plays 2000 minutes with and for Costa or Chelsea sell him for 25 million quid. He's never going to confused with having world class ball control but he has a goal sniffer. Costa/Lukaku/3rd striker like a Villa type or a young talent
bushman 2,043
Clearly Lukaku should have been given a better chance to play. Since he was not, maybe an option was offered to him and he rather left? Who knows what exactly was said?

Popular Post! didierforever 7,349 Posted May 15, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 15, 2014 so what if he asked to go out on loan. he wanted to play football. he thought with 3 strikers already here, his playtime would be very less and that would affect his WC chances. even if you take that as a negative saying he put himself over the team, u have to remember that he is 20 years old. and the WC is a massive massive tournament. look at oscar and his performances. you dont go about selling players for a mistake. even they are human and are bound to do something or say something which would be wrong specially if they are still just kids. selling lukaku would be a mistake, a bigger one than selling off sturridge. lukaku is the best u-21 striker in the world. he is PL proven, and has the potential to be the best, whats more is that he is already better than any strikers we currently have on our pay role. he should stay here as a no.2.
