Fernando 6,585
I'm so tired of this sad, sad argument. Oh no, he as a football player would rather keep his options open to play at the biggest event in the sport, something that's only organised every four years, in stead of warming the bench for 1 has been (Torres) and one decent striker that used to be better (Eto'o). He'd be an unambitious tool if he'd pick the other option after seeing what happened during the first month of the season. But if he thought highly of himself he would have known that he would pass those guys. If you can't make it above Torres and Ba, then your not as good as we thought.Anyhow I'm with the ones that say that the loan to Everton was beneficial for him. For us, had he stayed I bet he would have been a starter ahead of those duds I mentioned.
mediator 2,026
Ask Kalas what he thinks about that. He lost one season, just like Lukaku has 2 years ago, we can't let them rot on the bench, they aren't veteran.

So our club ain't the best in that department. Let's hope Mourinho puts a foot down, and don't let us take like mugs.

Yet he barely played in the first five or so matches. What does that say about José's thoughts on him back then? He made a smart move. No other way around it. The only place to be 11,313
He was already better than them before the season started. Yet he barely played in the first five or so matches. What does that say about José's thoughts on him back then? He made a smart move. No other way around it.He got 15 minutes in the first game, 25 in the second, wasn't used against United and then got 22 minutes in the Super Cup Final before asking to leave. It sounds like we're going to see what's available in the market before deciding on him. That's fair enough.
Popular Post! BloodIsBlue 291 Posted May 8, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 8, 2014 Let me say this for the 10th time. Lukaku isn't stupid, hes actually really smart and is humble in life. He knows his position and who he is and what he's done. He knows rightfully for a club like ours he needs to happily accept a back-up striker role. After he missed that penalty for us he was rattled, he knows the responsibility there is in being first striker for an expensive club. What scared him was Eto'o coming in and him being 4th striker, and rightfully so a young guy like him shouldn't like that. Anyone claiming he has a problem with being second striker is totally out of order. seanptmiller, RoyalBlues, BleedsBlue and 12 others
Popular Post! Hamilton 2,120 Posted May 8, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted May 8, 2014 Funny thing is, if we bought a decent striker when we bought Torres (I know, nobody could tell he was going to be this shit) we finished off games way earlier in 11/12 season and Romelu would have had many more minutes and chances back then.. Perhaps he allready was 2nd strike by now then..But, if if if if if if... If my aunt had balls it was my uncle I think he deserves a chance as second striker, and i don't think Romelu would mind that at all.. kellzfresh, ZanSnake, Eden2020 and 2 others

ZanSnake 1,211
Romelu has out-scored ALL of our strikers for TWO seasons running - fuck problems in play he might have, he can score and that is what football is based on!I can't see a single reason why he shouldn't be here next season - he has shown, TWICE that he can score in the Premier League in double digits (which is more than any other striker we've had since Drogba) and he is still only 20 years old. MrExcalibur100 7,124
It's ridiculous how overrated this kid is. There's a reason opinion is heavily divided amongst the Everton fanbase who actually watch him week in-week out and he warms the bench for Belgium. He scores a routine tap-in, the shit memes/twitter jokes, subsequent dig at Chelsea/Mourinho by the commentator/pundits immediately follows & the Belgian brigade head to this thread in flocks. In reality they fail to mention the innumerable amount of shit first touches, poor fitness, the wayward passing, lack of finesse/guile & the baffling inability to play with his back to goal.He really is the ultimate MOTD player.IMO, we should sell if the Costa rumours are true while the hype is still rife. Spend the £25m on a pacy versatile forward that can run in behind ala Sturridge, Suarez & Aguero, Maybe Remy or Vela could be options.Just sub the word overrated for overhyped and you're spot on.
