If he keeps his nets clean for 17 minutes Wednesday vs Celta de Vigo he'll get the record for most minutes unbeaten in away games, the second record he'd take from Abel Resino.

3rd record? He already has the most consecutive minutes at home unbeaten, and the most clean sheets in one season.

Yep, 19 clean sheets, is just amazing for that guy with that crappy defense.

I honestly don't think we will ever see him play for us.

I kinda have the same feeling, there is no basis to it but I just feel that he won't play for us.

If reports are true that there is a contract extension then I don't see how he doesn't play for us.

He's a young, classy goalkeeper....even if he signs an extension, how long would he want to play second fiddle to Petr Cech?

Cause Cech isn't exactly showing signs of ageing and he's still one of the best goalies in Europe...

The question is: does Courtois want to go on loan spells for another 2 seasons or would he rather go to another top club and establish himself as a #1 GK right now!

(Personally I want Courtois to be our GK for the next decade....but until he plays his first game for Chelsea, there's always that fear..he'll move on..)

He is already at a top club though. Atleitco won the Europa + Super Cup and will play Champions League football next season. Where else is there for him to go? Utd have a keeper. Juventus have a keeper. Madrid have a keeper. Bayern have a keeper. What other top clubs are desperate for a keeper besides maybe Barcelona?

He should be thankful that Chelsea took him from a small club in Beligum and loaned him to a top club where he wins stuff and will play Champions League football. He is the Belgium number 1. He hasn't played a single game for us but Chelsea has already done massive things for his career. This idea that we're somehow holding him back is fucking ludicrous. If he has any decency he will have faith in the club, sign an extension and wait his turn because Cech is a legend and deserves to see out his contract at the very least.

Come on, he is a goalkeeper, does not really matter, where he plays, as long as it is a top league.

1 year more at Atletico and contract extension with us would be a great deal.

After playing for a big club that is going places such as Atletico for three years, why would you want to leave? I certainly wouldn't.

Going places? Third is the absolute best they can ever hope for in La Liga. He can be #1 at Chelsea for a decade competing for League titles and European trophies.
