CHOULO19 24,332
I had the impression DeGea has the best stats among keepers this season. His performance against us in the second league game was better than anything Cech managed to do for us in the big games. The games against us where his only decent performances all season. In other matches he had been catastrophic. Every time the ball is in the air, he will have trouble dealing with it. You can imagine how that worked out against the likes of Stoke and Blackburn. Tomo 21,751
I had the impression DeGea has the best stats among keepers this season. David Luiz stats are the best for a defender but it doesn't seem to stop the media, opposition fans and even some of our own saying he's shit. His big question mark is decisiveness in corners and allowing himself to be crowded out by the opposition in his own box, though I'd lay the blame there upon Evans and Ferdinand & co. BlueLyon 9,359
Sorry but I pick Cech anytime over degea. He could be reason why united fall from eu competitions so quick...And we have Courtois, who has even better statistics than degea last season. Jack Uzzi 54
Not all Atletico supporters are entirely satisfied with him. Doubts are especially expressed about his agility, as many believe he is rather slow and about his reflexes. Maybe the disappointment is fueled a lot by the recent defeat against Real, but still, it is not impossible that reports on Courtois have been a bit too positive.Colchonera thread on Courtois

capriccioso 2,545
I notice Thibaut is 3rd in the Zamora Trophy (the Golden Glove)! Beaten only by Casillas and Valdes. That's quite brilliant.

Not sure if that's true, but it's not impossible. He did have a very good season, establishing himself as a first choice at Atletico. But the fact that he's not really fast is true I think and overall it remains to be seen how he will evolve. He really seems like a copy of Van der Sar in many ways, so yes, reasons enough to be optimistic.

TomCFC 357
I prefer Athletic, but the final should be invaluable in terms of experience for Courtois.
BlueLion. 21,491
I want Bilbao to win because they are the team I have started looking out for in Spain, but I'd love Madrid to win it because of Courtois...Either way it will be interesting to see one of my favourite attacking sides going up against our future goalkeeping genius. LDN Blue 7,903
Battle of the strikers, Falcao v. Llorente!I think Madrid will win it because of their attacking power, Diego, Turan, Adrian, Falcao. They do have an exploitable defence though, even with Courtois between the posts. Bilbao have a better structure though, so they will of course be more disciplined. They also have home advantage because Real Madrid decided to get spiteful and refused to allow the final to be played the Bernabau. So now it's to be played at Athletic's home ground. CHOULO19 24,332
^^I actually think that Madrid will it because their defense is much better. I have watched a few of their matches this season and at times they have been able to completely nullify the opponents attacks. In one match, their oppsosition only managed a single shot on goal all game!
