Chelsea? 892
I always wanted Carlo to be given 1 more year, but now we got AVB so I'm behind him. I just don't understand why we spent so much money on players that couldn't help us this year or next year. We aren't in the position to do that, teams like United, Barca and city are more keen to do that cause they are in great form.

They spend a lot of money on players for future, that give nothing to work for the current manager.

Fernando 6,585
AVB said Roman support was unconditional instead of short term support....Well the only way to find that out is if Chelsea finish outside of top 4, lose the replay against Birmingham and lose against Napoli!Do all that stuff and we will see how unconditional Roman support is for AVB.... laura90 556
My dad earns about 2000€/month and he motivates himself every morning to go to work. If the players can't motivate themselves to play one match a week and earn about 100.000€ for that game they can fuck off too. If all the fans would stand behind AVB, there would be no chance the board or Roman would even consider sacking him.I understand you but...What if they are just not good enough? What if expectations are too high for them to fullfill? Unlike your dad they haven't been able to do what is expected of them, which led to massive frustrations week in week out, which ultimately led to disinterest and loss of motivation? This is extremely unbalanced and not good enough squad, and yet we expect them to win most of the time, make the top four, win FA cup and go to semis in CL. Who cares if they can make wonderfull pass forward or decent cross once in a blue moon. Who cares if our leaders and the most influental players are, unfortunately, 'has beens'. If they played for Newcastle they would be awesome. But since they play for Chelsea they need to be twice better, even though our squad isn't twice as good. It's convinient to blame individual players, coach or even squad, but the real blame and responsability lies within board for living in the past and expecting contemporary results. And for being opsessed with strikers while ignoring creative midfielders and wingers. Sheva. 5,373
He needs to freaking start with 4-2-3-1 instead of changing to it every time we're losing.

steve5221 91
i have not been on here for ages so this may have been mentioned before. The fact is whether you back AVB or not there is a factor that will get him the sack 100%. We saw the start of it today, its when the fans vote with thier feet and we do not sell out our home games. Even if Roman is adament he will not be sacked, he will have no choice if there are empty seats. The next home league game is sold out so he may be ok for now.... BleedsBlue 1,549
Well Roman has to understand that he has to comply with the new financial rules. He spent 28m so that AVB could be our manager and he is not going to spend another 20m on another manager.AVB is young, talented and has unique vision. We all want longevity and AVB is the only one who stay for long considering he is only 34 years old.If we can still support Torres then why cant we support our manager? Team harmony - I think it's more of the players who are disrupting that. Substitutions - Some weird ones, yes... but it's not like he's blessed with world class in form players.Motivation - Again, we had motivation against Valencia and man city. Also it's hard to motivate players when some of the players are disrupting the squad.Selection - What do you mean? he likes to rotate. Bringing through youth - Pretty risky in my view, we are having such a bad season, we need to try and win every game.Players respect - Player power...as soon as this goes the players will start to respect the manager. But all i'm saying is when all of the players try and are on his side look how we perform... his tactics were spot on.

Maybe when the golden oldies on the bench are gone you will see less player power, but the fact remains having a manager as young as that has been a big mistake by the club. Someone of the age of Mark hughes, Martin O'Neill and David Moyes are now the perfect age for a manager. All of them have had a good period of management and are young enough and experienced enough to become top managers with a top club.
