MetsajCFC 1,255
I think Ramires was great today, few others were playing nice as well, for example Ivanovic and Mata, despite the missed penalty. The game of football has moved on, every "successful" team nowadays has really agile, quick and pacy players, but we don't. We need to move on from the Mourinho era squad and get some really fast and technically sound players in and to balance to books, let quite a few old core players go - for example Lampard, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda, perhaps even Essien. We need changes in the dressing room but for the sake of God, don't sack AVB.
Spike 12,049
Did feel sorry when the Jose chants started...its not like he cant hear whats being said...not exactly gana feel him confidence or anyway feel good! And seeing the players were all being shite anyway hardly his faultIt doesn't matter how well AVB has faired it was incredibly disrespectful to do that. It is one thing to boo and jeer but this is entirely different.I hate to say it but AVB is headed for the Guillotine and I would really like Gianfranco Zola to have a shot. CHOULO19 24,332
I fear for Andre. He looked really nervous in the first half, he also looks like he has lost some weight. His hands were shaking scarily in a couple of camera shots in the first half. The disgraceful fans chanting Jose's name certainly did not help. He'll be gone by the end of the season.Thats the thing though does seem to happen often regardless who the manager is.They get to a stage where some 'meh attitude' comes into play and thats that.Happened with Scolari,Carlo and even with Jose at a point..that Rosenburg game where no really was there at all! There is no point bringing someone in if the egos cant be sorted out and the same thing will happen againAnd if they cant get motivated for the Manager be nice if they could do it for the fans.Who have made the effort to go and follow their team, spent the dosh to get there and tickets and then to spend 90 mins watching players mehh around.. He'll be gone by the end of the season. My dad earns about 2000€/month and he motivates himself every morning to go to work. If the players can't motivate themselves to play one match a week and earn about 100.000€ for that game they can fuck off too. If all the fans would stand behind AVB, there would be no chance the board or Roman would even consider sacking him.
Spike 12,049
I feel incredibly anxious about the current situation this club is in. It is no wonder I have been trying to avoid the Premier League a lot in the last month or so.I try to focus on Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A. termninja 5,290
I'm starting to be sick of this...for 2 seasons, terrible football and manager's future in doubt. And I am especially sick of trying to understand what is happening behind the scenes. Is AVB a good manager with a shit squad? Is squad against him? Perhaps everything is good but he fails to motivate them? Perhaps Kalou is trying to overtake the dressing room? bla bla bla...one thing I do know is that results are not going our way, boardroom is not pleased and with FFP rules coming we can't afford to miss out on CL and especially this season after which we need to attract new quality players.Only if our stupid board waited 1 more year with Carlo...there was nothing to lose, we would see how AVB fared in CL and perhaps we could get Mourinho or Hiddink later on if Carlo failed again.Fans? Those are not fans I heard and watched. Those are tourists who paid money to watch entertaining football. Our manager is going through the toughest period of his career and what they do? Sing Mourinho's name...instead of outchanting Birmingham fans they sing Mourinho's name. What does that mean to players? Even the fans don't support AVB, why should we?...At least Ramires, Essien, Mikel and Drogba are back so I don't have to watch clueless blondie and pass'n'shoot maestro Meireles anymore...
