Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Sunderland, from being talked about as relegation candidates are now flying high.... Martin o'neill is a class manager.... He took players that looked lazy and unmotivated and got them playing good football and winning again.... He deserves the plaudits and as well as being used as an example. In order to make a point, selectiveness is key, as all managers cant work players the same way.

Anyways, that post was what i thought. Moving on.

I wish you wouldn't use FACT when it's just your opinion. it is your opinion they both inheritted good squads. And printing FACT doesn't

change the FACT that it is merely your subjective judgement. And that is a Fact using logic.

Isnt that a fact? Do you disagree that they both inherited good squads?

Yes it is my opinion, that i felt it was factual. 1.They did have good squads.

2. They did'nt have good squads

I picked 1.

I think they both had good squads ,,,In that my opinion coincides with yours but that doesn't make it a FACT

Looks like it's pointless discussing with you, because you have already decided about that matter.

Could you explain why that great squad isn't doing well now?

For all of the AVB Lovers.... Just have a look at Sunderland as an example.

Under Steve bruce, the same bunch of players who couldnt buy a goal and struggled like second grade footballers, suddenly start playing well the moment A brilliant manager comes in, Martin O'neil.

9. I feel he got lucky with Porto, simply because the team he inherited was very good, same as what happened in Chelsea when Avram Grant took over. Surprisingly, Real madrid or Barca or for that matter any big club didnt swoop in for him after his great season taking us to the verge of CL Victory. Our board took a gamble.

I just want to comment on this.

I think you are wrong, because you are not counting the "new manager effect"

It happens all the time. What is happening now at Sunderland, happen when every manager from Chelsea in the Roman era is fired and a new one is brought.

It takes a couple of months for everything to settle down when the players start regressing and playing like shit.

And last the point can be easily said about Mourinho, Pep and such. They all inherited or had a lot of money to build a good squad.

I Agree,,,, The test for AVB at Chelsea is to inherit a broken team and rebuild it. Since he does not have any previous experience in such a scenario, it will be really tough, and he needs to stand up and be counted.

He does probably have the money though.

Well Chelsea Squad from then is 4 years older and we have lost some good players from those times.... with the remaining players from 2007-8 fading. Also we suffer as we have a mixed bag of players with too many conflicting styles.

Porto are still doing well without Boas, are 2nd in the league and have only lost 1 game in 18 games this season.

I can't stand AVB for how stubborn he is. It is as if he refuses to adapt the formation/playing style when needed. It really pisses me off to see our best Striker played on the right.

Yup, Sturridge should play as CF... but AVB's not stubborn mate, it's just that 50 mill says that place is reserved... and with Drogba still in the team I'm sure u see the scope of the problem (cuz it is a huge problem).

I want AVB out because i think he's a bad manager, but i think it's discusting what the players are doing it really is. I want the man to do well and he needs support, i'm hoping for a nice comofortable 3-0 win against Birmingham, with someone like Lukaku playing well and a youth player getting minutes preferably Lucas Piazon.
