He should have, but no new manager actually gets rid of so many players, on an establish team. Mourinho did it because Chelsea where not establish.

When he went to Inter and now Madrid he did not do that.

With an establish team you have to give the players you have a try and see what they got.

It is why AVB is now talking about next season project. Expect some dead wood to leave and new players in, or more youth if we don't get 4th place and can't attract top players that season....But even then I don't think this will give too much weight with top prospect like Hazard, Lucas and such because they will know they will play CL next season, and will get good wages.

There is no point sacking AVB if we're just gana carry on into next season with the same squad..main issue needs to be sorted first and thats get rid of the players who clearly dont give a crap! Otherwise we're just gana have the same problem no matter whose in charge...to be honest the main problem is the players! They are are capeable of putting on a performance,all know what they have to do!And yet only seem to turn up for the odd game..Man U last week things were fine!So god knows what went on today if they looked at it and thought 'only Everton' or what happened.

I remember reading somewhere where Platini said he will take into consideration teams that fail to qualify to the CL for terms of money to break even with the rules....

So yes in theory one season would not be bad. But two season, then that's bad!

The first thing your will have to do as a coach is getting information about your team (what did he tell us in the summer, the team is good and strong...).

Then selecting which player your want to keep, and those you dont want to keep your telling there service are no longer needed in this club, ( and yes

Thats the thing at the start when they played crap..they got benched mean look at Lamps and co..so somehow the confidence to do that has been lost

Not that i disagree, but my point was =Boas act!, be a leader. Can it get worse than now?(proberly!). I would have benched 4-5 players and let our youngster play againt Birmingham. And tell the squard if i didnt see 110%

The Players arent as bad as some people here make them out to be,(except torres)

They are playing way below their standards through the season. The problem may not be VB completely....

Many times when a manager is not too strong, his assistant coach holds that role of being tough and gets players motivated and does a whole lot more work behind the scenes....

RDM was a horrible 1st team coach... god knows why we hired him. Ray Wilkins commanded respect and got players playing with the right mindset. Get him back.
