A) High-line was redundant today.

B )This was the same selection that beat City - who would've forseen us play so poor!

C) His subs:

- Kalou for Romeu - After our lethargic performance in the first half we needed an attacking player. I know we probably all cringed at his app, but it exemplifies our need for a dynamic player like Hazard, Vargas or Pato. At this point a defensive player was rendered useless as a result of how Martinez set up his men.

- Mikel for Mata - In looking too attack Wigan and their 5 man defense we probably didn't lookout for us scoring rather paradoxically. Logic dictated the sub but for Mata? I was thinking Meireles. In this sense Martinez 5 man defense was a shrude move.

- Malouda for Sturridge - This left me perplexed. Drogba should've been coming off for Torres. Malouda should never of been introduced.

All in all Wigan were 18th and we were 3rd. We can always find a way to see the game as a "banana-skin" but we should've won. We played poor and a draw was frustratingly enough, fair :cry:

Why? Lampard and Meireles were woeful. I know they're more attacking than Romeu but they were so AWFUL we could have been playing with 9 men.

Mikel>Mata

Understandable, but should have never happened. Romeu should not have been subbed in the first place.

Malouda>Sturridge

No explanation needed. :doh:

This guy has nothing on Carlo yet. I said this at the start of the season and everyone said "agh Carlo is so shite, AVB is a tactical genius etc"

He can't even get proper adjustments right, these can be made by common sense

As you will recall, minutes before this, Sturridge took a knee to his back. He was grounded for a few minutes and with about 80 minutes gone. It makes sense.

Sorry, im trying to find some logic in the subs but I cant. They were really, really stupid and cost us the game. Credit where it's due (Valencia game), criticism where it's not. Which was today. If you could have put out the worst combination of subs out there, this would be it. Well done AVB.

Well I tried to show you some light of logic to it. I suppose it is your own opinion & judgement that will determine your perspective. All I am suggesting is, if we had won 1-0 then these substitutions would've been more 'logical' for people to see.
