Bar him being a Liverpool legend and all, I actually like him, Between telling Wenger to fuck off and yesterday he said that the opening fixtures should be on Sunday for the players 'cause of the International matches beforehand.

He did a good job of keeping Liverpool out of Europe once again and buying Andy Carroll for £35m!

I don't mind him but he tries to be too funny sometimes when deep down he's actually a boring dour miserable twat. I like to see clubs with legends/former players as their managers and this is why i'd love us soon to do the same with a Zola, Wise, Poyet, Di Matteo like person.

I believe he is one of the best People's manager, great motivator and he stands by his players. Best example: Torres hitting his old form after Daglish become their manager. Best to happen to Liverpool in the recent year and a big threat next season to everyone.

Seems to go the right direction with Liverpool, which is obviously the wrong direction being a Chelsea supporter. Not playing in Europe might be a blessing in disguise for Liverpool.

As far as man management goes, he's up there with some of the best. He can inspire players with motivation & drive, and with Clarke doing the technical work behind him, they make a great combination. The fact he's a Liverpool legend helps them even more because he really cares about the club, not the paycheck.

I don't know. He is adored by Liverpool fans because he was such a great player and because of what happened after Hillsborough, but his rumoured dodgy connections (re the Paul Stretford and Rooney affair in 2004) and the way he hung around at Liverpool like a vulture during the Benitez and Hodgson eras and managed to maintain a friendship with Christian Purslow while getting no flack for his association with this hated figure ... something about the man just doesn't ring true. Yet there's no doubt he's loving being the manager of Liverpool again and with the pressure off (now there are no expectations on them to win the title or the champion's league) and the help of Steve Clarke he seems to be doing a good job.
