We shoukd've gone for Mandzukic when we had the chance. If he's not willing to play second striker, better sell him when we can fetch something from his sale. Another loan spell, and it'll be like this year again next year, except we'll be forced to sell him for peanuts. Hope the board and Lukaku comes to a decision this year.
In the interview he also explains that Brazilian World Cup '94-winning defender and Deportivo La Coruña legend Mauro Silva is his idol. Mauro Silva wore #5 and while he was a center back, Filipe still jumped at the opportunity to grab that shirt for himself at Chelsea.
Damn straight. Probably one of the reasons we weren't able to break down tight defences was the lack of involvement of our FB. Pretty sure Jose spent big money on him to address that issue.
I think Debuchy is a decent signing. Sagna was a disloyal cunt who wanted to leave but I can't understand why the shirt-barbecuing Arsenal fans were at peace with his departure. Debuchy is a typical Wenger signing and I fear he'll do well there. Besides Wenger, uncharacteristically, is having a good transfer window.(must be all the booze from Brazil) I really hope the Khedira deal stalling is for real.
Him 3, Costa 19, Fabregas 4, Pogba 6 if he comes( Romeu will be out on loan, anyway)Matic should keep the #21 shirt and make it legendary like Pirlo's. Also, I think he should grow a beard.
Completely agree with this post. The problem last season was that Jose wasn't able to bring out the true potential of our attackers, when he brought out the true potential of our defense. But, hardly any crisis here. With the sort of signings like Felipe Luis and Fabregas, it'll unleash the talent in our attacking mids even more. Jose sorted out the problem even before this thread was started.
Hard to agree with that. Why did Jose spend £20m on Luis when Azpi was doing the defensive job perfectly?IMO Luis is bought to provide a new dimension to the left flank and compliment Hazard. We hardly saw any link up play between Hazard and Azpi last season. It was almost as if he was own his own and double marked every time he got the ball on the left flank. Luis is a perfectly balanced signing and I don't think Jose is going to ask him to bring down his attacking game.
