Kalas is a better defender than Zouma IMO( and that is not based on these pre-season games) Atleast Kalas is sort of a more technical ball-playing CB while Zouma is more of a physical threat. With Terry and Cahill, we have a good mix. As far as our 3rd and 4t options go, both Branna and Zouma are physical defenders. Kalas would be the ideal pair to Ivanovic for our 2nd choice CB pairing. I really hope Jose is not intending to sell him.

Not taking a jab at this guy based on is pre-season form, but I still think keeping Kalas as our 4th choice this year and sending Zouma out would've been the better option. Sending Kalas out on loan undermined all the hard work and effort he had put in during the last season and he would've easily integrated into our backline in the coming season. Now he has to come back after his season long loan spell and repeat the entire process again. How crazy is this gonna sound if we send out Zouma on loan next season after him having a decent enough time this season?

Absolutely. Another transition period is going to be pretty hard to handle. I don't want to experience it for a very very long time.

I'd like to see some kid from the academy, like McEachran or Swift or Baker(a CM), if they ever become Chelsea level or a marquee signing get the No.8 shirt. Wiilian 8 is going to suck.

We shoukd've gone for Mandzukic when we had the chance. If he's not willing to play second striker, better sell him when we can fetch something from his sale. Another loan spell, and it'll be like this year again next year, except we'll be forced to sell him for peanuts. Hope the board and Lukaku comes to a decision this year.
