  1. Florentino Perez has started thinking about Madrid post-Ancelotti and made a call to Mourinho about a possible return. Perez made a call to Mourinho that last 15 minutes, congratulating him on his Capital One victory but found a tough response Mourinho: "My wife is happy in London, my son is happy in London, my daughter is happy in London and I am happy in London." Mourinho in conversation with Perez: "I won't coach in another country. My professional career ends in England."
  2. I wanted Liverpool to miss on Champions League football next season, but now I think I've changed my mind. United are a shambles and they must stay that way. Hopefully they stick with LvG for another season so that he can waste another fortune on overrated players and below par ones, such as Herrera, Rojo and Blind.
  3. Definitely it'll be a busy summer for them in terms of buying/selling should they end the season trophyless. Oscar is a marketable player and Madrid likes this kind of players. Especially now that Florentino is looking to expand his business in South America. Throw a cheeky bid for Bale and see what happens. Won't hurt anyone. Oscar plus 30-35m and you'd be set on the wings for at least four years. Chelsea miss a player like Robben. And they are so damn hard to find these days. Would be such a shame if Jose wouldn't at least attemp buying Bale should he be available in the summer.
  4. The most fickle fans in the world. Bale could score 70 goals in a season, but if he underperforms the next season they'd still ask for his head.
  5. Diego Forlan: Jose Mourinho is the type of manager players love to play for http://www.thenational.ae/sport/comment/jose-mourinho-is-the-type-of-manager-players-love-to-play-for
  6. What a car crash of a thread this has become.
  7. It's either Fabregas pairing with Matic, with Ramires on the wing and Willian at "10", or Matic - Ramires as holding midfielders, with Willian on the wing and Cesc at "10". No way Willians going to miss this.
  8. This is Leo Messi's world and we're all just living in it.
  9. Ok, so the kid is talented, no doubt about it. Technically he is very, very good for his age and his passing is precise also. This is why he can also play as a right winger as well. Can't say he is an attacking minded full back, but he likes to make overlapping runs a lot and put in (quality) crosses. I usually do not rate Romanian youngsters at all, because of the times whe are living in and the money involved. The talent is there, but money is their biggest problem as 99% of them tend to lose their mind after signing big money contracts and spend it on broads, booze, fancy cars and they all end up by ruining their career and coming back to Romania. I'm talking strictly about youngsters joining foreign clubs because every year there are players signing contracts with bigger clubs, most of them Italian. But there is something about Cristian Manea that makes me think he can develop into a truly good player should he stay humble and work his ass off for his dream. An encouraging thing is that he is coming from a very tiny village in Romania called Agigea, near the Black Sea, with something like 4k or 5k population. You don't have nightclubs there, or fancy cars, or bimbos, so his background is quite good. Also you probably know by now that he is playing for Viitorul Constanta. This is Gheorghe Hagi's project. The Academy. Probably the most professional thing you will see in Romanian football and the best football Academy in Eastern Europe, as they like to call it. "Viitorul" is the Romanian for "The Future". It was founded in 2009 and needed three years to work their way up to Romanian first tier. The fact that they are playing in Liga I is an advantage for these kids born in 1995, 1996, 1997 to show their talent and play against professional players at such a young age. In 2012/2013 Viitorul had only youngsters playing for the first squad, but nowadays it is a mixture of experience and young talents, with Cristian Manea a regular at right back. Romanian media quote Di Marzio and Daily Mail on this transfer. Gheorghe Hagi did an interview with the main sports channel two days ago and indeed said Cristian Manea would leave for a big club in the summer, but refused to say the name of the club. Only thing he said is that Cristian Manea is wanted by some of Europe's big clubs and these are his last months as a player for Viitorul. Asked if he can cash in big money, €3.1m (£2.2m) as it is reported, Hagi said he would like to, but he is not sure this would happen. Probably somewhere around the £1.5m mark. Manea is also the youngest player to have ever played for the Romanian national team, aged only 16 and probably the best thing to come through the youth ranks to replicate Dan Petrescu. No wonder Chelsea is interested in signing him. As I said, he is a special talent, but needs to detach from the Romanian mentality and stay humble. Romanians are talented, this is a country with a population of 20m, you find young kids playing football at every corner. But the brain is their problem, that's where they need to work a lot, more than to their footballing skills. Really hope this kid could make it here. Looking forward to seeing him on loan.
  10. Sorry mate couldn't answer you, had a busy time, lots of deadlines set for this week. Freed up my time now, will write about this guy tonight when I'll get back home.
  11. I could care less about his goalscoring record as long as the team is winning and he is showing the same commitment and passion for the game.
  12. Ran the show tonight. What a player.
  13. Watched the highlights and there is a bloke right behind where Bamford scored that looks a bit like you. Quality of that video is low, that's why I asked if it was you.
  14. Where you at the game last night??? Sat behind the goal where Bamford scored???
  15. Probably only a matter of time before Mourinho, Guardiola, Simeone and Klopp/Carlo will all manage EPL clubs at the same time. I suppose this is what the new big money scheme is all about.
  16. Varane is the best young CB in the world and Madrid's best defender in the absence of Ramos. Watched him last night and he was superb. And a monster in the air. Glimpses of a young John Terry and Jose knows this. Varane - Zouma would make an amazing partnership. Probably the best in the world in five or six years time.
  17. Can't see him at Chelsea come August to be honest. Clearly Jose doesn't trust him for big matches and frankly it's been almost three years and he's showing no signs of a potential world beater. Too inconsistent to be a star IMO and I bet Jose would not hesitate to sell him should the right offer arrive.
  18. Would have called this THE perfect day had Real Madrid or Villarreal scored another one... "Both to score and over 2,5 goals". Scumbags. Ruined my 6000 quid accy. But it does not matter anymore. Loved the Final and the way Jose chose to DEFEND that trophy and then win it. Solid team, the win was never in doubt, Jose allowed Spurs meaningless possession and then bang! Finals not for playing, they are for winning. :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: Scumpool :D
