well, I do think that Lovren could compete with Cahill, Koscielny/Mertesacker and also Demichelis/Nastasic. So he probably could make it in any top team...was one of the best CBs last season, and 20m pounds is a decent price tbh. And with 25 he is still very young and has good resell value if he fails.

yeah...our situation with this 3 strikers would not be that much different than in the previous season. drogba is past it as player and torres is torres. if Lukaku leaves we need a new 2nd striker without a doubt.

City are playing with 2 strikers while we are playing with one. thats the difference. they have 2 strikers per position...thats not much. we have 3 for 1 (if lukaku stays). Also Dzeko did want to leave City at a time and only due to Negredos bad shape he came back in to the sheet..otherwise he would have left them by now. And Jovetic isnt happy neither. And Negredo still might be sold. @Viper trust in your own brain. You dont have to be a genius to know that with Drogba, Torres and Costa we are literally going in to the season with 1!!! good striker. Torres is shit and we know this...nothing new. Mou basically admitted it by himself during last season. Drogba is way past his prime. Varane is already better than Benatia....and Benatia isnt world-class by any means. He is a very good defender yes, but world-class? hasnt proven himself on international stage yet and italian league is generally better for CBs due to the lower speed.

kroos adds new dimensions to the game. maybe they want to turn to a more ball-holding game rather than dynamic bring it up and see what happens game (as di maria has played it). futhermore he was on the market for a good price. top-notch addition. and more so if Di Maria wants to leave the club. You need to add something new to a team, to motivate it after such a sucess (Bayern did it with Pep etc). Thats how it works. And Kroos is surely no answer to Suarez but just a good addition. I wouldnt the transfer of James though, because he hasnt got a place in the current 4-3-3.
