  1. well the difference is, that Porto wanted an abysmal price, while Barca are looking out for 35-40 m, which is reasonable.
  2. en Fairthorne @BFairthorne · 20h Costa has completed his medical at Chelsea now, and deal will be announced in the next few days. Will keep you updated. Ben Fairthorne @BFairthorne · 4h Just been told by a business associate of Darren Dein that Fabregas/Chelsea is not done, but that it is very very close.
  3. barcastuff ‏@barcastuff 5m Chelsea have made a 33M bid for Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas (27), who has asked the club to accept it. No deal between clubs yet. [tv3]
  4. BBC/Skysports arent reporting anything so I would be calm. Dont think that this will go through that fast (if it goes through)
  5. LOL he really says it. how dumb can a person be hahahaha
  6. Remember that penalty goal in the CL semis after his mom passed away? this moment was so emotional, I think I even shed a tear or two...one of the most epic moments with Lampsy at our club. Love this guy, hopefully he will find his luck somewhere else now and return to our club as a coach one day
  7. Spanish media is now reporting, that Pique told Del Bosque that Cesc is going for 33 m euros to Chelsea
  8. its also with clubs in spain. the thing is, this "clause" must be deposited by the player, if the clubs dont find an agreement. so chelsea would give 40 m to diego and he would deposit the money in madrid. but if he gets the money, it is rated as an income and it has to be taxed. in most cases though, the clubs find an agreement for example, 39,99999 mio euros, so the clause wont get triggered.
  9. Cerezo, Atleticos president, has denied that any club has met his release clause http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2014/06/04/primera/1401899976_140493.html
  10. His clause is 40 m euros and I think thats what we have paid.
  11. According to AS we have paid the 40 m in his release clause! http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2014/06/04/primera/1401894866_640313.html
  12. Am I the only one having some fear about this transfer? Dont know, just have a feeling he wont suceed here I dont know...maybe I am tainted by Torres + Sheva transfer, but Costa isnt really the type of striker Mou was looking for last summer in Rooney...seems more or less like the only real available option and better than nothing.
  13. Of course Barca fans dont like him that much..he isnt playing at his best for them (even though he had some great months for them). All in all, he isnt fitting in their system. He is much more fitting in the EPL though. I think getting him back to Barca was more of a marketing-thing, getting the lost son back then a well thought tactical move for a player they need. It was deemed to fail, because he is no Iniesta nor Xavi, he is something in-between those 2. Futhermore, he is someone who likes to dribble WITH the ball, while Barca prefers to play a lot of passes and move the ball without a lot of touches- something Neymar also had his problems with. I think he could fit in well here and we would finally get a goal-threat from midfield. Additionally to that, he knows the league+ town and I think he could adapt fast. I would prefer Koke or Pogba, but both seem to be not able to get, so Cesc is much better than sorts ilke Paulinho
  14. Atletico have reached an agreement with Granada over the signing of Siqueira. Would be the replacement for Luis http://www.marca.com/2014/06/03/futbol/equipos/atletico/1401811137.html
  15. translation for non-spanish speaking people: Barca wants 36 m for Cesc. He has reached an agreement with us. No agreement with Barca yet
  16. Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri Diego Costa to Chelsea in the process of being made official. The player wants it to close it before World Cup
  17. Would prefer Koke, but he would cost more and probably favors Barca. Pogba would be a dream, but he favors PSG/Real Madrid over us I think. Cesc is a great player, but he is more of a B2B and I think we rather need a DLP to break-up teams and have a nice build-up. Still, he would be an upgrade on Ramires and everyone we have in midfield. PS: Barca paid 35 m euros for him. They now want (as reported) 35-40 m for him, so exact the same amount they paid for him few years ago (if true)
  18. What a day...a legend leaves. will never forget him, what a player. one of the best of all times, not only for chelsea, but also in England. Underrated in the world, but we know how good he was. Hopefully he will have some nice time in the US. And he should great an epic farewell at our club. Doesn't deserve to leave like that. Make a final game or something like that. Hopefully he will return as an assistant coach or something like this to our club to the number thing: I am against this type of things. Of course he is a legend and maybe there wont be anyone like him..but who knows? we shouldnt prohibit future players the opportunity to be a Chelsea legend. Numbers from Osgood and others also werent retired, so why should we start now? Also we should retire Terrys number then and etc etc. He should get a testimonial and thats it.
  19. According to his agent, we are interested in Luis but Atletico does not want to sell him. His release clause is 24 m. http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2014/05/30/primera/1401410951_040831.html
  20. Koke would be the best option for us. 40 m would be the minimum I think. His release clause is 60 m and Barca are rumoured to be interested (would be a perfect xavi replacement)
  21. We will have to spend HUGE if we want to sign him. Especially, as if the reports are true, Madrid will also go for him. I think 50-60 m EUROS are the minimum for him. Question is, if we are ready to spend so much on 1 player, if we need to buy a striker and a LB probably too. And people who are saying that he is a/ overrated or b/ nothing special dont have a clue or dont have watched one full game of him. This guy is an absolute gem and could be the best midfielder in coming years, if he fullfils his potential. This guy has really everything. Good passing skills, good vision, athleticism, quite fast, dribbling skills, powerful shot etc etc and he is only 21!!. Also he already knows English football while playing for the United reserves (even though its a different class of course). It would be gamble, because he would cost a huge sum, but it would be worth it I think. Futhermore he has the potential to become a marketing-gem, because of his look and his style of play. A lot of kids want to play like him etc. And the french-speaking market is also quite big
  22. L'Equipe are a realiable source...but he will be very expensive, a lot of clubs rumoured to be interested. Great defender though and fits in Mourinhos tactics
  23. 10 mins on the pitch wont get him anywhere. he needs full games, and he wont get many of them at our club, especially with zouma coming in. best choice to be loaned out where he can play every week.
  24. its heart-breaking. he is a great guy. he gave his soul for this club. he fought his heart out and his character was unbelievable. but the money was just too good to refuse. as sad as it sounds. Thx for everything David. good luck at PSG and there is always a 2nd meeting in life... Hopefully we will spend the money wisely and get some much needed reinforcements.
  25. Jason Burt ‏@JBurtTelegraph 3m Finally established #psg fee for David Luiz as £48m from #cfc. World record for a defender. Expect official announcement in next day or 2
