  1. Out of all the summer signings throughout the Prem, this one is by far the best. Utd can sign stroppy Berbatoss and Liverfool can have thier yiddo reject. But I am so glad to see classy, reliable and consumate professional Frank sign this deal.
  2. Steady there BB, everyone has their views mate. Drogs is a brilliant tosser there hows that? He really does need to keep the old gob shut and use the magic in his boots instead. Drogba with Nic just behind him will be an potentially leathal combo if the two ego's arn't too big.
  3. I have never had anytime for the self confessed "Man Utd fan" But walking up those stairs to pick up a medal was the last straw for me. Show me anyone who cannot do Kenyons job, and I'll show you a fucking idiot. With what Abramovich has put in, this club now markets itself worldwide. We don't need an embarrising idiot like Uncle Fester. He says he has a passion for CFC, but really he has a passion for Romans money. He used to lick the feet of the Utd board, and fooled Roman into thinking he knows what he is talking about. The mans a prat, end of.
  4. Well I think he will be well pissed off that VDV has ended up there. So come on Peter open the door and get him in PDQ.
  5. And you nearly kept your job, but thank christ you didn't.
  6. I think it will wes, read Esk's post in the Robinho thread and it makes a lot of sense. That statement is for the fans benefit. If he was to leave and come to Chelsea with Real's full blessing, there would be riots in Madrid.
  7. Esk, when I have dropped Robinho off, I'll drive Ben Haim up north and drop him off in Manchester, and I wouldn't even charge him a penny for the diesel.
  8. Welcome back mate. Your education is far more important than here. We will always be here when you need your fix of all things blue. Concentrate hard on your learning, it is your future. But let us know how you're doing when and if you get the chance.
  9. Sounds as though he's coming then. If he wants I'll personally drive him to SB, just to ensure he gets here.
  10. I couldn't agree with you more Greg. Barton is an out and out twat, I'd take him on even from my wheelchair. I wonder how good he is when someone fights back? He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football pitch, nevermind being paid that much. As you say what a role model for our kids eh?
  11. Im with Esk on this, If Frank signs this contract, it will be Chelsea's best signing, since he last signed. He is as fit as any 23 year old and has nothing at all to prove to anyone. His agent is the one to blame in a way, but then the agent was only doing his job. I just hope the stories true.
  12. He wouldn't Kez, because he ain't hard enough. Brilliant news, Essien is one of those we should keep at all costs. So I am really pleased at this news.
  13. Thats it in a nutshell. Very well put BL. Thanks Maka, Good luck. Now take your rightful place in with the Blue's legends.
  14. I think the real problem with Drogba is the fact that he is not Mr Chelsea. He is the sort of player that wants complete adulation from the fans or he won't perform. The Chelsea faithful have JT in that role and quite rightly too. If you read some of the things DD was saying during the ACN, he is #1 at Ivory Coast and thats what he seems to want from us. If only he realised that if he shut up and played how we know he can, he may well have been Mr Premier League nevermind Mr Chelsea. Of course this is all opinion and you might think its bollocks, but in my mind, thats the sort of bloke he is.
  15. Would definately be a fantastic signing.
  16. imo would be the signing of the summer, so lets hope its true.
  17. His attitude stinks and ordinarily I would say sell him straight away as he would command a high price at the moment. But who would you buy to replace him? baring in mind that Torres isn't for sale and cannot hold players off like DD can. Same with Villa. Eto is as much a problem as Drogs, he is gobby and stroppy, but as a foil for DD i think he would be brilliant. But I am just sitting here hopeing upon hope that Sheva finds himself again and shuts the whole football world up, well you never know, stranger things have happened.
  18. As far as Barry goes I think the Wiki page sums it up within the first sentence. Clicky I saw Sidwell play on his loan spell at Brighton and he was class in a team of average league 2 players, and when he signed for Reading I thought that they were the right level for him. A step up to us was a step too far. But good luck to him at the Villa, I hope he makes a success of his career up there.
  19. Nice to see you back Greg, and I couldn't agree more. Sheva got a long deal and was not proven in the Prem, Frank is the best midfielder in the Prem and we are agueing over a poxy year ???? UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!
  20. I can't agree with that kbchel, If we are competing on four fronts, we need very good squad players. As Esk says though, it very much depends on who Scolari fancies and who he doesn't. With so much football being played now, I think we are going to need all the defenders and midfielders we have.
  21. I will certainly be tuned in for that. I'm sure we are all looking forward to positive vibes from Scolari. Anyway he better be good, Iv'e named one of my new fish after him.
  22. Chelsea WILL GIVE LAMPS £140K A WEEK Frank Lampard Thursday July 3,2008 Chelsea last night offered Frank Lampard a new £140,000-a-week take-it-or-leave-it contract which would make him the highest-paid player in British football, in a desperate bid to keep him out of the clutches of Inter Milan. The attempt to persuade the England midfielder to stay came after Express Sport revealed yesterday that contract talks had reached deadlock and that Lampard was upset that new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari had not yet contacted him to assure him of his future at the club. If Lampard accepts, he will move above captain John Terry in the Stamford Bridge pay scale as the highest earner at the club – and in the country. Terry is on around £135,000 a week, while other stars such as Germany skipper Michael Ballack and Andriy Shevchenko are earning around £130,000 a week. Chelsea's dramatic late move appears to be a last-ditch offer to the England midfielder, who is due back for pre-season training on Monday. But it still does not match his demands of £150,000 a week – although it does signal that at least some of the Chelsea hierarchy, including owner Roman Abramovich, want him to stay. New manager Scolari, though, has still not spoken to Lampard, who will return from holiday in Sicily tomorrow. Sources have described the player as "disillusioned" by the silence from the Brazilian and ready to leave. The £8 million signing ofPortugal midfielder Deco earlier this week was hardly a positive sign. Inter, managed by Lampard's former mentor Jose Mourinho, are convinced they have clinched a £7m deal for the player with a £6m-a-year contract on offer, although no talks with Lampard have taken place. One more sign that Scolari has Lampard some way down his list of priorities is that the manager has found the time for talks with centre-back Ricardo Carvalho in a bid to persuade him to stay. Carvalho is a £24m target for Inter, but Scolari met the Portuguese star last week and begged him to stay at Stamford Bridge. The fact that the coach went out of his way to do that with another Blues player could spell the end of Lampard's Stamford Bridge career. Meanwhile, according to reports in Moscow, Abramovich has told Scolari he wants at least one Russian among the new faces at the Bridge this summer, which could lead to a move for striker Andriy Arshavin, midfielder Yuriy Zhirkov or forward Roman Pavlyuchenko. Higher up Brazilian Scolari's list, though, are Samuel Eto'o and Kaka. Source = Daily Express
  23. Have to concur with 90% of you. I don't want him, as already pointed out, where the fuck was he in the ten years when he was 17 - 27 ? No one had even heard of him. Our midfield is stacked out with quality players, so buying a puppet for Roman just isn't worth the £12 million imo.
  24. Don't get me wrong, I was one of Drogba's biggest fans, but this past season he appears to have an attitude of Im bigger than the club and I can stroll around doing and saying what I like, because Im irreplaceable. Well as we have always said "NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN Chelsea FC" so I say sell him. If he stays, lets hope Scolari will slap him into shape again.
  25. Its certainly a vast improvement on the last one. I couldn't get used to that one at all.
