  1. Agree totally. We do not necessarily need a big name, but a signing that can just do that little something to turn the odds in our favour. Also by signing this so called marquee signing, it will in turn strengthen our bench. For example look at Utds bench last season, they could batter most teams with their starting line up. Then when the opposing team think they have handled themselves quite well, they look at the touchline and see Tevez, Berbatov or Rooney waiting to come on. That's what we need a real threat from the bench as well as the starting line up.
  2. Nice profile Alex I am quite excited by this young English player. I know he won't be starting many games, but definitely one for the long term.
  3. Blimey, what are you going to moan about when you actually get a life Greggs ?
  4. Chelsea and Manchester City left to battle for Maicon as Real Madrid balk at £35m price-tag Real Madrid are ready to let Chelsea and Manchester City fight it out for Inter Milan right-back Maicon. Bernabeu dealmaker Jorge Valdano admits the Spaniards have been priced out of a move for the marauding Brazil full-back. City reportedly made an offer of £25million plus unhappy Brazil midfielder Elano for the San Siro star while Chelsea are said to see him as an improvement on Bayern Munich target Jose Bosingwa. But Valdano said Madrid would not be following up enquiries after being quoted a £35m asking price for the 27-year-old. 'Inter's asking price is 40m euros,' Valdano said. 'But we will not make such an offer seeing as in that position we already have Sergio Ramos, who has nothing to envy the Brazilian for.' Source Daily Mail.
  5. It would not surprise me in the least if it was Tevez. He was supposed to be telling the world on Monday that he had signed for Citeh, but today is Wednesday and still nothing from Tevez.
  6. We have got to have continuity. Old purple nose took a while at ManUre, Pedo took a little while with the Arse. We have to give the fella time, money and support. Nobody knows how he will fair in the Prem. I just hope he delivers and we can put to bed early, the press rumours of Roman will sack him soon and all the circus that went with Scolari's appointment.
  7. He will be like a new signing, we missed him last season. Great to hear he is on the mend and doing light training.
  8. Hello fellow Blues Brother. Its nice to have you onboard.
  9. I went with Essien too. He is a versatile player and an important member of the squad.
  10. I was one who definitely had a good feeling about Scolari, but I have said it before and I will say it again, I have a worried feeling this time around. I hope to god that Carlito proves me wrong. But getting DD onside is a good start without a doubt.
  11. and for me. Used to really want VDV, but I think Snejider would suit us better.
  12. Its laughable really, all the tabloid shit about JT will not go away, but I expect JT himself will quash this story very early this week. I have just heard a Citeh fan on Talksport tell Jason Cundy that "JT is crap and he wouldn't want him at the club". So we can see just how thick Citeh fans must. We must not sell at any price. As our captain Johns job is only half done on the pitch. His leadership in the dressing room and throughout the club is legendry. PISS OFF YOU NORTHERN TWATS!!!!
  13. Captain of my team, Captain of my country, You have no worries Mr Chelsea, None of us would allow it.
  14. But Pato is young and will outlast Drogba and Anelka, so I don't agree with you on that one Elliott. So what would be wrong with a Pato, Sturridge, Droba, Anelka forward line in whatever combination ?
  15. I agree, spending zillions is not the way to go. But I think that either Tevez or Pato should be the exception. Somebody is needed up front other than Sturridge. We need to think of a strike partnership for the future after Drogs and Anelka are gone.
  16. Hi Greg, I suppose you are right, best give him a chance eh? lol.
  17. Lets just get this done. He is a very exciting young prospect. Could easily have the same effect on us as Torres did for the bin dippers. These are the youngsters I was hoping we would get in, and build for the future.
  18. And I don't think he even does that properly.
  19. Count me in Alex, I'm back for good now, so obviously willing to help in anyway I can.
  20. I'm still to be convinced I'm afraid. As for Bosingwa, I think its a fucking joke, we have been searching for a long time to find a decent right back, we find him then offer him to Bayern, unfuckingbelieveable.
  21. We do advertise a fair bit, but football websites all seem to have a lull during the summer. I used to host an arcade on a website I used to run, but as Elliot said, it seemed to have a reverse affect for members as a lot of workplaces banned such sites. When the old website was up, I think it was updated for a while and then left ( which as admins is our fault). As Blue Lion says anything you want to send us, we will look into. I am sure that Jim (ShedEndBlue) is busy and the ultimate decision lies with him, but if it benefits TC, then I am sure he would be happy to go ahead with any changes.
  22. The transfer window hasn't even opened yet. 1st of July is Wednesday.
  23. It wasn't that long ago people were saying that about us. At one point we had more midfielders than we could ever hope to keep happy. They will be having the same problems upfront, but with Eto on a reported £180k a week after tax, I'm sure he won't mind warming the bench.
