  1. Bruma looks like one of the squad in that pic. Foreshadowing something?
  2. He looks like a grumpy sod! Maybe if we give him more playtime he will not looked he has been slapped by a wet fish.
  3. Would rather have use play Borini or Sturridge then him in the team!
  4. FA Cup win, and fight for either fourth or third position. To win the CL is kind of hopeful, but then again could be a possiblity if the lads get their heads from the ground and concentrate! If we have to play Europa League next year then so be it! At least when we would win it we won SOMETHING in Europe and then have the oppertunity with the Super Cup.
  5. Ramires is youngewr, and will be still playing while VdV will be on his last legs.
  6. Would rather have Jones or Cahill, both English and are superb defenders. Jones would be the future Terry type of player imo.
  7. This is the point where a simple discussion can turn into a full flung war, where people slung personal abuse to one another, and the discussion doesn't notcied. I said, what i have had to say in a manner which doesn't include any indication of any thought of anyone else except for Kalou/Anelka and for my opinion on his skill and talent and role in the squad.
  8. A right winger, a creative midfielder and a center back - the latter we should have seen coming since Carvalho went to Madrid. But, we could always recall Mancienne from Wolves and use Bruma as cover (God forbid should Carlo trusts him enough!).
  9. His hat-trick against Stoke was during a game when the team was playing superb as a whole. And, the goals he scored were tap-ins and one could have even been a foul if the ref wanted to be tough. Also, he was playing the strikers role that day, and Stoke conceded many goals against mid-table teams. Crouch can score a hat-trick, does that make him decent enough for Chelsea? Kalou, as a Chelsea layer is someone i will still support, but if i was asked to name a match day squad, he would either be a sub or a reserve player. In his trait, he does have some kind of speed, and is a determined player. His vision is somewhat limited, but can sometimes pass the ball to an area where Drogba or another forward play runs onto, his crossing isn't good enough, imo, for a winger. Kalou is somewhat our version of a Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as he was with Man Utd, but with these power and a less chance of him scoring when coming on the pitch. He is a fan favourite (with a symbolic chant like 'KALOU!' when he comes on/goes off) and i wouldn't mind to see him on the bench, if Sturridge or Kakuta tooks his starting place.
  10. Anelka is a striker and has the odd superb game as the right winger. Kalou is a striker but WAS a winger. I would expect Kalou to give some kind of advantage in that area then Anleka but it seems, imo, that it isn't really possible. Kalou has got some kind of talent, but like i have said many times before, he isn't 'Chelsea' level. We need a player that can be a bright spark when the fire is dull, and Kalou is mainly just another flame when the fire is fuming. When the team performs to their best, Kalou takes advantage and gets a goal or even shows some kind of 'talent' but when the team is rigid or isn't to the full par, he is just another face among the long line miss firing. I would prefer playing Sturridge, who has brilliant talent as a striker and his dribbling ability has increased in just ONE season (shown in the CL match) and his shooting ability is another attribute which has improved (Pre-season against Ajax). Hell, when he was playing for the dark side (Citeh) his dribbling skills was immense. But the major thing about it all is that both players are better as strikers then they are as right wingers, and the only person (from my knowledge) that is an ACTUAL right winger is Kakuta. If we kept Stoch, maybe we would have more options. Hell, if Benayoun wasn't injured, we would have more options. But the overall fact is that, Anelka and Kalou are the only players that will play on the right wing, as Carlo is convinced that they are the players that are best.
  11. The way things are now, the only person I want to see replacing Carlo in 2012 or 2022 or whenever, is Roberto Di Matteo with Lampard/Zola as Assistant Manager. A former blue bringing success to the blues once again. Would be perfect to see, but i guess with the reputation that Chelsea has gained and the pressure and expectation from everyone would mean we would have to hire someone that has had some form of success in some kind, like Barca or Real. Dreams are best for the imagination, and for the time being, King Carlo is the man, no matter what. We need to show everyone that we are backing him even though we are in a bad turf (or was?), and that there is always a light and the end of the tunnel.
  12. Wouldn't mind getting him, especially with our rivals peeking at him also. As to the whole 'we won't see' attitude, everyone has a price
  13. Ignorance is bliss for some, well for those who choose it.
  14. Dzeko looks set to Citeh. Unforunately, but i would go for Hamsik instead then.
  15. Carlo is here to bring constincy and stability to the club! What do you gain by changing managers after just one season in charge? You get confusion among the players and an unfriendly atmosphere in the locker room. Chelsea just need to do what has been inevitable, either use the youth to an extent they can actually how some time in the limelight or spend money promising players that have a large future ahead of them.
  16. Dzeko, Pastore or Hamsik arethe players that looks good and has some potential to be big. I still have faith in Kakuta also. 45 million is just too much for him, imo. He hasn't really made his mark at Madrid so the price is just them trying to redeem the amount they paid for him.
  17. We need to take as many points as well can, and with the next couple of games, if Carlo can get the lads pumped up with each one, maybe we can fight for 3rd or even 2nd, but that all depends on persistence the players have when they finally find there form was again.
  18. I see Roman aat Chelsea for a very long stay, he has brought success into this club and has done what was needed. He has made some mistakes, but like John Wooden said:
  19. Anyone thinking Matic could come into the squad and help during the January window? He knows how to make a pass, he has strength and is mature in his play. Maybe it should be worth the gamble.
  20. I would absolutely be devasted if wwe sell him. He has improved his techhnique so much since last season but the only problem is the lack of chances he is getting to show people he means business. IMO, it wouldn't be the right move to sell someone like that especially when Chelsea need to find the little glimmers of light in the squad. Anelka < Sturridge
  21. This season is the start of the transition into the next generation of Chelsea Football Club, imo. The fact that we have gotten the clear out makes it set that the replacements are on the way, in what form and where from isn't set in stone, but it is certainly going to happen. Kakuta, etc. could be the time they get their claws into the squad, maybe.
