  1. If the siutaion ends with us having to play Europa League football in order to find oppertunities to win European gold, then i would be okay with that. If we win the CL league, then that would make it awesome, but in fairness with the form we are in, it seems ulikely, but i wouldn't want to miss the possibilty. If we finished fifth, i would more then be 100% sure we would win the Europ League, and then the next year we would be in the Super Cup, two trophies that our manager could add to the club's history then any other this century.
  2. Your saying that two players touted to be future world class players, isn't good enough for Chelsea? With teams like rivals Arsenal, Man Utd, and Real Madrid linked to them, you are saying that, they aren't good enough for Chelsea? You saying, a 23 year old playmaker that is one of the best midfeilders in his league, isn't the type of player that could benefit us for the future? An 23 year old player, that captains his OWN National team, isn't a sign that he isn't a large prospect? How about a 20 year old who has 17 caps to his name? A 20 year old player that has got some assists to his name, can't benefit a club where a creative spark is needed? Hazard has played more then 122 games for Lyon, 18 of which have been in Europe. That shows me just some belief in statistics alone, shows sign of world-class potential.
  3. For me i think the fact that the players lack of form has kind of broken Carlo's confidence, making him some-what hesitent to a degree in which he is intimidated to give the youngsters bench time, rather then actual time on the field. Of course, every Chelsea fan expect the next JT to turn up one day, and with the likes of Sturridge, Clifford and McEarhan have upped the expectation to a higher level, but it is the patience in which is lacking. With the team being in a 'blimp' of form, and not playing there best - people are accustomed to pointing fingers and firing guns to whom, and where. Faults are clear from the start of the season, to be honest - with the lack of incoming stars to replace those going out, we had the smallest squad, meaning we were destined to be vaulnerable to the horrific blight of injuries, out of form players, unmotivated players, and even lack of rotation - some fans probably expected that youngsters would be added to the rotation, and given a more specfic amount of playing time compared to the succesful season before, but like i have already stated - when the manager is faced with criticism and with a high expectation, it is only human that they hesitate - mistakes, for me, is something that we should learn from and build upon, not cover up for a little awhile only to fall in the same trap. Carlo needs to stand up, show players that change is needed and go head first with decisions instead of having second thoughts. Even though we ARE going through a transitional peroid, we need a man who will make decisions and Carlo is that man. He is going to build his own team, with some coming from the golden days of Mourinho, and the future that still has to be written. The players need to start to think, why are they playing for this club instead of giving half-arsed performances, just giving more pressure on the man on the sidelines. Carlo is human, and so are they - they are not machines, they are a team of individuals that when hitting the high mark combine to make a deadly force, but if some individuals don't turn up, then it is the team as a whole that would be taking the downfall except for one. In my honest opion, i can only say that Cech deserves to be the Player of The Season so far this season - his determination and his talent has been shown, while the men in front of him have been turned off (seeminglessly anyway). When insight of gold, would you rather run to it and face the hardships all at once? Or, fight them down, one-by-one-by-one?
  4. If we sign him, it is a good sign for the future of Chelsea's front line, if we don't, i hope we have a back-up plan like Sanchez or someone for the summer. Despite whereever we finished, the most important thing we need in the summer is the backing of Roman in looking for the replacements of players that we brought in, oh so long ago. I think we need a winger and a creative midfeilder, the most perfect candidates for me is Hamsik, Hazard, Sanchez and Neymar. If we get them all or not, but i think they have a bright future ahead of them, and if we don't sign any, then i don't think it is really showing the true colours that we should be doing for the future.
  5. How can people be so ignorant to that this season is nothing more but a filler for the next season? We have te smallest squad in the league, a fact and something that Carlo is forced to work with. Add the overwhelming factor of the large amount of expectation and pressure added to the double he has won, and the lack of form of top players - what more could he do but hope for the best? Carlo still has the chance to win the FA Cup and, even though it looks unlikely, we still have a chance at the UCL. If players like Zhirkov leave in the summer, and we finally give youngsters like PvA, Bruma, Sturridge, Kakuta, etc, and some reinforcements in the summer, we could build a team that is capable to win numerous of things for a numerous amount of time. It is a matter of patience, and the level of greed which our so-called 'supporters' have. If some are ignorant enough to hide the fact we are in a transition, then let them moan and curse about Carlo as he awaits to lead the world class Chelsea to glory, then let them. We, patient people, will cheer on Chelsea no matter. Because, like the mighty hym sings: 'Blue is the colour, football is the game We're all together and winning is our aim So cheer us on through the sun and rain Cos Chelsea, Chelsea is our name'
  6. I think Sturridge has a professional and has an down-to-Earth attitude. He has already said that even though he went to Bolton, he wants his future to be at Chelsea - and i believe 100% sure that he can accomplish something here. He is an amazing talent, and i think that in the summer we will offload either or even both, Drogba and Anelka and his role in the squad will be based on the team that Carlo builds from then on.
  7. To bad Holland never won the world cup with such a player. Also, Gullit's hair
  8. No thanks. Would rather put the money towards Hamsik, whom is a quality player and has 7 more years in him before he reaches Kaka's age!
  9. Every footballer wants to end their career where they started, but sometimes they find a club that is bigger in there heart then the 'starter' club, like Lampard. Torres obviously hasn't found that club, and due to the fact that England isn't his native land, he might want to retire on the soil he came from, and with the club that made him into what he is today.
  10. Just reading some of Martin Samuel's stuff online (don't read much media articles about football due to the fact of the usual negative aura they seem to try and give off about Chelsea), and this is what he wrote about Wenger moaning about our latest additions:
  11. I see past glory as the foundation for the future, it may look like the best foundation, but it is all about what you build upon that really matters. Liverpool started to build on from their past success at the start of the decade, evening winning the Champions League - but we have out done them. In the long haul, they are the 'bigger' club in the ideal of accomplishments, but we are the 'potential' club, that could reach higher goals like the CL and the double. And, in the end it is the present, that is making the way for the future and Torres can see the potential we have to move forward, thus why he came here. IMO, at the current moment, we have taken one step backwards to get ready to leap two steps forward.
  12. I think Emenalo is meant to help identify the weaknesses of the opposition tactics and playing style, that was the only reasonable excuse i can think of as a reasoning to why he is there while Paul Clement is the one who would advise and accomply with Carlo in training, and on the youth. I would love to see Hiddink in an excutive role with the club, maybe giving us a extra push the right way forward with youth development or something of use that can be a long term beneficial gain. But then again, would Hiddink give up the managerial life style and career? Maybe for the rest price.
  13. And if that news paper was the sun, then that is just the same as someone saying it came from the word of God.
  14. A banner above the topic really does explain the whole existence of this thread. With an unreilable source, i may as well post saying we are signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, and that we are trying to lure Zidane and Maradona out of retirement.
  15. I say let Carlo's reigns last as long as his contract runs, which ends in 2012 - then he would have been given a large peroid of time to build a Chelsea side that could fit into his plans. Carlo has stated many things what he wants to do after his tenure with Chelsea - including becoming Italy or England manager, or even retiring at Chelsea (saying he wants to be here for a decade). Carlo was brought in for stability, and has yet, in my opinion, made his own mark on the team. Most of the players we discuss we signed before he was at Stamford Bridge, and i am sure the players he has signed, and will sign will become a large role for the future managers of Chelsea as did the Mourinho era signings have for him. We have the smallest squad in the league, and instead of getting rid of Carlo and adding another manager - maybe we should be adding to the actuall squad instead.
  16. I don't see why not he can't play an hour against weak sided teams like Wigan if players with experience like Lampard are also in the team. I am not syaing play him eveytime, just the teams that are in the worse positions in the table.
  17. Youngsters, or the Youth, should be slowly molded into the first team as they develop with the different styles of play between Reserve and competetive first team. To just play a youth player off the bat just because there is a small amount of choices would/could damage their development and even pyschological stand in the game. That's like putting a baby as a king of a country.
  18. Because they are YOUNGSTERS! And you call yourself sensible?
  19. The team can only play as good as the next one - Drogba being out of form meaning that essential we have no striker - that is what the foundation Carlo has to work with, and i believe that should Benayoun not have been injured for so long, he could have been a creative spark that we have needed, feeding the ball forward as well as driving the play up field. But, sacking Carlo with destroy any harmony with the players, a harmony when in full swing makes us a goal machine! Excuses is what it is though, we are trying to make reasoning for something that is simple, it IS the squad depth. When you have one player that is out of form, and another player who can play there - the simple solution is simple, play the other player. But what happens if that first player, on his day, could turn a game on it's head? That is the problem we are faced. We have inconsistent performances from our players, something which truly Carlo cannot predict, and without another player who can turn the game around, we have only one oprion: hope. We can only hope that the said player will have his day and turn the game in or advantage. And of course, that isn't what is happened for us. I believe in the summer, the era of change will be upgraded - change not from the position of manager, bur from his perspective. Maybe it's Roman's perspective, or maybe there needs to be some kind of communication between both Carlo and Roman, to what needs to be done next for the transition to settle right. In the end, success is only needed by our greedy narrow minded fans that just want to ahve something to show off in oppositions fans. If they can understand that young players like Kakuta and Sturridge with top young international players like Ramires and David Luiz are slowly being molded into the first team, then maybe they can establish that success maybe on the horizon and maybe in a larger and more frequent number.
  20. Because we are in the middle of a transitional peroid, hence why we have the smallest squad in the league and why we have added to the squad in the window - two players that add options. In what way should getting rid of Carlo do in the middle of this peroid? It could break us! Like it has been said, Man Utd had there own peroid where they brought in young players, and it is know they have the options for a rotation. I have to admit, Carlo is stubborn to keep on relying on the same players when they are clearly not playing to the standard, but with the pressure he is under from narrow minded fans, he hasn't got the confidence to explore his options with the youngsters - and also, how would that youngster be like if he made a mistake during a game that made us lose the game pyschogically? Football has more depth then: buy player, sell player, make a first team selection - yet many few people can acknowledge that it takes time for things to fit into place, ie Torres and David Luiz to establish themselves. We could still win the FA Cup and the CL with these players if we can find some kind of inspiration, but i would acknowledge that this season is the season for the development of the face of Chelsea, rather then any trophy we will, could have won. Any trophies that we win this season would be an add on to that.
  21. Vecause those estavlished, in your own words 'world class' are running out of fuel, which itself causes fuel to meaningless discussions or threads or even suggestions, like this one!
  22. Well celebrate on a LIVERPoOL fan forum then, instead of creatung petty arguements.
  23. He has a better scoring record then Di Santo this time last year, when he was at Blackbutn for the season.
  24. People i would like to come in are: Lukaku, Sanchez, Hamsik and a GK. Peope going out would be: Ferreira, Hilario. Peope who COULD go: Bosingwa, Drogba, Zhirkov. I see Sturridge as the replacement to Anelka, Lukaku for Drogba, Sam Walker/Matej Delac for Hilario, with Hamsik adding more depth in midfeild.
