We don't know what to do on the pitch

It's Daily Mail - wouldn't surprise me if they just wrote the 'quotes' themselves to try and lure more then there usual 4 readers. -
I find it funny how a discussion about Mikel's role in the squad can deter into the same arguement over Kalou (a player which i have spent my two pence on more times then i want), Kalou is at Chelsea and his role is above those like Sturridge, far enough. I accept that Kalou is a member of the Chelsea squad and that his talent is somewhat substantial to the amount ability which many of us think Chelsea should have, but he is a persistent player that give his all, albeit sometimes it causes frustrations at least he tries! Mikel is a young player but is also an important player to Chelsea, and like i have said, it wouldn't be the wisest of choices to let him go. If Mikel prefers to play a more attacking role then it is a matter of communication between the midfeild and the defence to sort some kind of system in which Mikel can go forward but doesn't make us prone to the counter attack. You have to remember his devevelopment is still continuing, even though he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

problem with this though is that he has only recently joined the club. I doubt very much that CSKA will just let him go for such amount if he is such a decent talent, especially at that age. But then again, maybe Roman can use his Russian connections to swing the price down a bit
-
From that video all i know about him is that he can score a penalty. So, is he worth 19 million euros because he can score penalties?
-
Welcome! You must have felt weird with the 3-0 win that Sunderland did over us
-
I would like to see some kind of signing in the next week or so, something to ease my tensios that we won't have someone until the ed of the month, something which would be to less beneficial to us in the League. Hell, signing a 17 year old would at least show that we are looking into buying people, instead of quotes that could lead to nowhere.
-
He is on the right side of the 20's, and give us some depth. If we do nor if we don't is something that is up to the club, but personally i wouldn't mind him coming here.
-
He has his moments of magic for Everton but isn't really the type of Midfeilder we should be getting, and with the source, which i thought was banned, i am somewhat dubious on the fee. Pienaar isn't the type of player to take us forward, and i would rather have Hamsik, even though the chances maybe slim.
-
Sturridge to start for me!
-
Very sad to here that he will be leaving, even more so for the amount! I wish him all the best back i his native land, and maybe we can see him become what he has the potential to be. Hopefully, this could mean that Marko Mitrovic steps up to take the role he should have gotten.
-
Eden Hazard over De Bruyne any day!
-
Sturridge scores 5 and he gets a start. Borini scores 5 and he isn't even on the bench!
-
Could be describing Hamsik or Pastore?
-
Kranjcar, Pastore, Young and Hamsik for me
-
Carlo, the man for me. Maybe he needs to tinker with the starting eleven or the tactic, but there was a reason he was brought into the club, and there's a reason why he should stay. We may not win the league this year, but whose to say we can't build the squad to win the league three times in a row in the next three season? It is a matter of patience. It is January, the window is open and we can finally add the players we need to our squad to fight for CL place, and for the FA Cup.
-
Bruma and Sturridge starts, i'll faint!
-
Whose is to say he can't move up the feild when we have possesion or when he has the ball? He just needs to be disciplined enough to make sure that everytime he does go forward he can backtrack enough to break down any counter attacks.
-
We play with one holding midfielder and two attacking players in midfield. In the hold we have only two options, Essien and Mikel. In the attack we have the possibility of Ramires, Lampard and Essien. I what way would getting rid of Mikel will we gain? We need as much options as we have, and to say he is one of the best players we have and at such a young age, it would be a HUGE mistake to let him go, especially after all the trouble to get him here. If any other midfeilder came into the squad it would be an attacking player like Hamsik rather then a defensive one. Ramires has started to get use to the play, and the only other options is the experienced Lampard, putting Malouda in the centre rather then the wing, playing Kakuta in the role. And even Yossi Benayoun can play the role. Options is what we need, we need to build the squad not reduce it. We have already felt the force of our thin squad, why should we make it even smaller? Mikel is regarded as one of the first teamers, and not matter what will be in the squad.
-
Wouldn't mind him. He is 26 years old so he has some years left in him, he's English and he has a good foot on him. He can take corners and free kicks, the latter not really important the first one could be vitl when Lampard is injured or out of the squad. H ecan shoot and can play behind the striker if needed, and he can cross something which is the most vital thing. Hamsik is another player i would love to see at Chelsea, especially now that it seems destined Dzeko is going to Citeh. We may aswell get him before anyone once tries. Kallstrom, i am a fan of. Kranjcar is another, but i doubt anyone else would agree that he would be a decent signing.
-
But it is the playersthat go out in the shirt and should perform! They are not Roman, they are individuals that should make a team. A team that won the double last season and was scoring for fun. Roman isn't some kind of machine with the ideaology of totalitarianism, he wants to try and make the club the best, and to make a step forward you might have to take two steps back. He is a human and made a mistake, far enough. But, it really comes down to the eleven players that are paid to go out and win matches - not Carlo, and not Roman.
-
16 years old, someone for the future. Maybe we should be looking into getting players to help the squad NOW rather then the future? But still good to see the club trying to gain some of the so called world future stars.
-
With the way things are going, FIFA might put a cap on spending! Not something i agree with, but you can kind of see their motive.
-
The guy is young also! Defo not the man Carlo would get or the club, but with the Bothroyd rumours, seems more likely
-
Do you remember the Caps lock?

Welcome! Shocking to see a Yossi fan
